    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

haswell is 22nm and the sandybridge is 32nm. The h100i is overkill for this build but it looks cool . If you're chasing 5.0 ghz than h100i or x61 are the way to go.

depending on the mobo bios fan settings I might try to skip on the fan controller. h100 stock fans are pretty loud at high rpm. curious if the nzxt x61 is worth the price difference. larger fans at lower rpm and cheaper than h100 with noctoua's. variable pump speed might be a cool feature as well.

another friend of mine used the same case for his build. pretty nice case. did you use the fan controller or just tap mobo fan headers and let it take care of the fan speed?

You are stealing that supernova PS. I am dual SSD but that is so similar to my rig it's funny. Although..... Boo on Radeon. :-( if it were my build i'd probably change a few things. but i tried to keep things pretty simple for my friend. this is his first gaming pc. i'll do an easy ~4.5 ghz oc on the cpu and the 290 should tear through anything regardless of the settings for 1080p60.

weird, i guess if the hdd is for storage its not spinning constantly so that might explain the lower failure rate.

good lord. i hear the first 8xx card will be between the 780 and 780 ti in performance but at a lower price point. nothing on the higher end stuff till next year. might as well grab a 6gb 780 if you're doing high res or multi monitor gaming.

60/40 lead solder if you dont do much solder then something like this should be fine, http://www.amazon.com/Kester-Pocket-Pack-Solder-0-031/dp/B00068IJNQ/ref=sr_1_cc_2?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1408184502&sr=1-2-catcorr&keywords=60%2F40+lead+solder are the leads loose all the way from the pole piece or are they attached along the top of the spider?

Trying to get in touch with Don at SDS

dam you guys are rough. why call second skin? anyone there have the same expertise as don? if the OP expects don to walk him through an order on short notice i'm not sure thats realistic. if you give his web site a thorough read you can figure out exactly how much you need to order. send an email to don with "shipping quote" in the title and you'll get your material ordered right away.

    4th order for x10?

are you sure the coils are wired correctly? how did you go about setting the lpf, 45 is really low? you should not need loudness settings

    4th order for x10?

what does sundown list as the recommended enclosure sizes? what are your amp settings?

do you know what products you need to order or did you ask don for help figuring that out?

    4th order for x10?

just build the larger, lower tuned ported enclosure. a bandpass box (a vented enclosure is also 4th order) wont gain you any output for your purposes, it will just take up more space.

    Sundown x10 correct port area

you just plug in the number and see what port area is required to hit a certain port air speed. if its too high you get cuffing.

It is just two wires though isn't it. Should be tons of places to find it including the OBD port.Lithium send me your car year, model, make, and if you have upgraded audio system. I'll get you all the pin colors and etc from directechs 01 buick century limited. i believe there wasn't an upgraded stereo system offered. I know the pin out and colors for the stereo harness. There's something I want to try first and if that doesn't work I'll let you know if I need some diagrams.
