8s vs 12s on prefab enclosure

Thats why the install matters more than equipment. either model the 10s and 12s in that volume or contact sundown and see what they recommend.

Depends on what you are cooking. Anything that is no stick or teflon coated should be thrown in the garbage. Not useful for any kind of cooking. I'm a pretty shit cook but thats mostly due to lack of experience. Just want to get a few decent pans, a knife, and speed more time cooking rather than heating cans of soup in the microwave lol. what do you cook or want to cook? That somewhat determines the pan.Mostly I'd still figure out what you need and then shop Homegoods/TJ Maxx places for bargains. As a general rule I think All Clad from there is usually a reasonable thing to think about buying. i'll have to do some thinking about that. figured i'd start with the basics. Fry pan, sauce pan, maybe a wok for stir fry. What would be the best way to cook a steak? Sear then throw it in the oven? Steak needs REALLY high heat and then not so much heat. Can do the opposite as well. Either a grill or stove top for the hot part and either a grill or oven for the low part. Make sure whatever pans you buy can go from stovetop to oven otherwise I would say that is also a useless pan. i was thinking about using a caste iron pan for just the oven part if i cant find something that can do both.

it might work well enough in .7 with polyfil stuffing.

do you already have an amp for the subs?

    Help finding a comp set

you could keep the discussion to one thread but its fine either way. i think it would be better to look at things as a whole system. not two pieces (subs and front stage).

8s vs 12s on prefab enclosure

the best way to figure this out yourself would be to model the subs in the enclosure air space and compare. that said i can cut down the options for you right away. 0.8cuft is too much air space for an 8". regardless of that, there's no replacement for displacement. the 10 or 12 is easily the better pick. I think you can find much better sub options at the ssa store. Sundown Sd series might be an option given the enclosure depth (something you might have overlooked).

    Help finding a comp set

head over to sounddeadenershowdown.com for some info on deadening. I'd recommend you do the bare minimum treatment for the doors. CLD on the door skin to dampen panel resonance, MLV barrier to keep noise out, and CCF sandwiched between the MLV and the door skin which decouples both the MLV barrier and the door trim from the vibrating door.

that would be a passive crossover. m5 will be processing the signal before amplification (active xover). downside is that it requires significantly more knowledge to set up and more equipment. upside is that the drivers you can use are better quality, cheap (relative to equally preforming drivers in a comp set), and potentially a much better sounding system.

then you dont understand the value in doing so. imo, speeding so much on the front stage and not installing it correctly is pissing money away.

which components you go with is less important then the install. factor in sound deadening for the doors into your budget. even if you need to cut the amp and component budget in half to do so.

skip the rears (unplug or fade forward) and focus that money on the front stage.

He knows enough to clear his porn viewing history. I don't see any reason for switching if TeamViewer has worked well in the past. Does it require anything on his part in order for you to connect? Eg if he has a problem and you want to connect and fix it, does he have to start teamviewer and accept the connection? If any of that is the case then you could make it simpler by using the remote desktop connection stuff from the OS, where you could simply connect at anytime without needing him to do anything. You made me see if I could quickly connect because I know I did a reboot. An hour later I'm still cleaning crap up lol Haha. Does his browser have ten toolbars? He had one toolbar but a bunch of shit that would inject themselves into his searches. He said he seemed to all go wrong when a java update said it needed updating. He claims it originated from the computer and not from a website pop up. he's right about the java update. it can add a toolbar

Probably. I have cards that are better that you could have had for free....thought el geeks at micro center might know a mirroring solution but alas they don't. Card is still sealed....but it was only $30Read up...https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/500277/sli/second-monitors-and-sli-2-monitors-with-different-resolutions-with-sli/ that is extend I need mirrorThat post on this forum is not what you are wanting? I am confused?Post said.. I have 460GTXs in SLI and I can run a 1920x1080 @ 120hz monitor and a 1680x1050 monitor @ 60hz at the same time with SLI enabled (both monitors plugged into the primary card). I can even game in 3d on the primary and still have the second monitor displaying Windows just fine. Sean wants the same desktop/GUI/interface mirrored on all displays. But some of his displays are a higher resolution than others. So it results in dead bands on his higher than 1080, display or fucked up look on the other displays im pretty sure its impossible. i was playing around with my setup. 1080p TV in the living room and a 1200p monitor at my computer desk. I use the PC to play movies and music and control it via a bluetooth keyboard/trackpad thing. Rather then mirror and waste the resolution on the monitor i just extend the displays and use a few easy keyboard shortcuts to move programs around. Alternatively you could just enable and disable mirror mode w/ the window key + p. Other key bindings like alt+tab to select the window and the window key + arrow buttons to move it between screens work pretty well. The same way I suggested but without SLI? sli has nothing to do with anything we're talking about

A toggle that switches to 1080p everywhere works for me yep You do that in mirror? if you enable mirror either through selecting the option or the window key + p hotkey the result is the same. Windows selects the resolution of the lowest monitor and displays the display across all the monitors. the hotkey is convenient in that you can toggle it on/off.
