ya i think im just happy with the arsenal. my front stage cant keep up right now so thats what i need to work on. im not a spl nut. i really wouldn't consider myself an sq guy either.... but i gota fix this giant hole called mid bass in my car hope PG RSd's can do it.

i own 1 assassin and 1 arsensal. thankyou AA!!! that was as close as i will ever get to winning the lottery i was running the assassin for alittle while with about 500rms (2x rated rms. i know... my bad... sorry). but i havent heard it with its recommened power. i could tell it had alittle better sq compared to the arsenal but off course it was not as loud... anyways... and this is all hypothetical... would 2 12" assassins with about 250-300rms each be louder and have greater sq then one 12" arsenal with 600rms? i compared them in winISD and the 2 assassins win in spl. however that program isnt always right. i think my arsenal can hit almost as hard as my 3 old pos kicker comps which according to that program where like 9 or more db louder... lol i wont be selling the arsenal, but i was currious since i have the assassin just siting around right now...

3 12's...been there done that. im really liking the look someone's face when tell em its only one 12. if id run 1200rms id rather run it to a havok!
-
took over 500rms from my kenwood excelon with no distortion. i could sell the arsenal and get another assassin and have money left for a fiberglassing project i just like to think about all the options i have with my system...

have u every heard someone say they have too much midbass... i wish i could say that

i put a 12" cheap ass clarion in my dads f150 supercrew. it was about 1 cubic foot box. postioned between the center consule and the back seat. angled alittle towards the back but basicly firing straight up. sounds nice for a 30 dollar sub and a walmart amp..lol u have to take the sub out if u have to put someone in the middle of the back seat but its doesnt take up much room
-
built the box today! sound great! still pretty accurate for a ported box. i figured it would get real hummy and sloppy with the quick bass but its not too bad. think id rather run sealed.... the lack of midbass is terrible...but i pulled out my all my speakers to sell and will be geting some pg rsd's. budget is low but im hearing some good stuff about these speakers.

id say its about 8 gauge wiring. length is atleast 4 feet. yesterday i relocated the powerwire from where the bolt on the fuse block to the battery. idk why i havent done that up till now... i hope i can get alittle more current from there.... -
almost bought the ssd but with only 600rms it seemed the arsenal would have fit alittle better. hope i wont be regreating that... arsenal is still an amazing lil sub

its way to far and way to tight from to the top. ill try from below but i dont think its possible how if its possible, can i tap into the stock wiring close to the alt... is this recommended? or safe? would i just cut the sock wire... im not sure if i can solder upside down in such a comfined location... i think this is looking alittle hopeless... are there some other thing i can do like replacing the battery up front to help the charging system out alittle... guess i can do a big 1 lol -
lol this is funny...sub sounds louder and better sq from adding a cap. Sounds like what is printed on the packaging for most capacitors realized something after accually thinking lol.....i used a new ground location or because i like flashy lights... or maybe its one of those things, like when a terrible fisherman goes out and buys the most expensive fishing rod and thinks it will make him a better fisherman... the LED's are a nice touch, should get some for my fishing pole... i did read some stuff on bcae1.com. specificlly the sections comparing a cap hooked up to a power source and not hooked up. it goes on to say if a cap does what its suppose to do it can make a difference. that being said im am sure ppl could argue/will argue that a big three and quality battery will yeild a greater pay off. the bottem line is that a cap is probly not worth the money. if someone has some money just lying around and wants to do alittle science project for us.... ill unhook it sometime and see if there is much difference but i do not have any other work done to my electrical so it wouldnt be very rellivent to ppl who allready have h/o alts and yellow tops. wow i sounded like a retard after writing that post.... think ill have to go into witness protection to aviod assassination by wild capasitor junkies....

this is basiclly the finally ungrade to my car for quite a long time. what i have installed already in my 00 olds intrigue (stock alt. no big three **unless later needed**) sony gt cdx310 reciever tsunami 1.2 far cap kenwood kac-x10d aa arsenal 12 d4 polk db series 5.25 mounted in the door's stock location db1000 tweeters db 6x9 rear deck ran all 4 gauge kicker wiring looking for a 4channel amp for under $150 to power tweets and 5.25's i really enjoy my kenwood excelon that i use for my aa. ive found a kac-x542 for 135 shipped on ebay. here is a link to crutchfield < link to crutchfields > also found kenwood's newer line excelon for about 170 shipped. the kac-x40 < link > i would like to stay below 150 so i have money for wiring and some cosmetic things. i dont want to limit myself to just kenwood amps if (and there always is) something better is out there. i just really like the look of them. id love to get my hands on that metal they use for the covers. in 4 or 5 years i can buy all the expensive chit u guys got....

i thought about that but havent looked into it enough. i cant access sites like partexpress or madisound from school... ill look alittle at home tonite. if i can do a decent set for 90-100 $$ then maybe i will. as far as component sets go. how do PG RSd's stack up. ive seen them compared to the PG xenon's on another forum. they said the RSd's have better midbass. i didnt find a pair bigger then 5.25" last night but then again a 5.25" mount right in the stock location. and for 80$ shipped i think im getin a good deal. wish i could hear em.... i think i found some ppl to buy my 6x9s and 5.25s. ill see about sellin the tweeters aswell. -
