my only thought was that i didn't get the correct pac adapter or im incompetent. new plan is this bluetooth scan tool and use the app he developed. -

this is gold. dude figured out exactly what I need to get steering wheel controls to interface with my n7. joycon to canbus fuckery didn't work for me -

Seth - any idea if my truck will complain if I take out the brain? I gutted the rest of the stereo today and figure that won't do anything for me so I'd yank it and use the space for something else if I could. if you just yank it does it throw a code? I pulled the onstar unit out of my trunk without considering any problems. Got lucky i guess.

grab a used type r, or l7 (mainstream cheap) off craigslist. you dont have the budget for a decent quality new sub w/ that power requirement.
