sorry cant recommend anything, i cant imagine spending 300 bucks on passives.... i honestly wonder how much better one pair of 300 dollar speakers could sound then another when they are restricted by a passive xover in such a devastating way... your really just going to have to buy something or go out and listen to some sets... i doubt anyone could just say hey here is a set of 300 dollar speakers, they are the best ever made.....

change the order...

nah not really, any decent set of comps with about 100rms a side will be plenty. running multiple set of speakers will sound bad. if your wife hasn't ever heard anything nice before, you could get away with something like some pg rsd 6.5 components for like 70 bucks off ebay, and get some deadening for the doors. i know my gf doesnt have the ears for a real good sounding set of speakers. but if you got money to blow then carry on with some expensive shit... tell her its bose or some fancy brand, she wont know the difference...

Is the fader on your head unit towards the front a little bit? is your test tone being cut off by a filter, like using a 100hz tone w/ a lowpass filter at 60hz?
-
passive components or active as said above are your best options. just need to fab up some baffles to mount the mid in the door..
-
good luck with the t line, where have you been reading up on them? ive been considering trying one myself...

4 guage for 1150 watts?
lithium replied to ppiflat10s's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
make sure you get real 4 gauge too btw, not the cheap chit thats really 8 gauge w/ a thick shell... -
The lead time will alwasy be the same, you will get your subs within a 2-week time period from the day you order at the most. One of the Rockford Fosgate 1500-1 will be good enough or any 2000Rms am will do. If you want to use that much power on those subs I dont think you will need Q's, you might be more of a BL man since output is your concern. 1 of those amps is enough but make sure u change your sub's vc to match.
-
u can always underpower, infact when you say you dont listen to your current setup at full tilt is just like putting less power to the subs. no sub requires a minimum amount of power for it to produce music. ppl that say you need atleast x amount of watts for it to sound good are just full shit... just match your subs resistance (ohms) with that amp that you got, unless u rather sell that and get something more reliable...
