    Welcome to the IHoP

after having it last semester i still cant decide if i find it interesting or not. usually, as long as i think its useful or interesting, i dont mind how hard it is.

my only experience with unions has been what i've heard from my dad. he's kind of an interesting guy in terms of politics, he would probably agree with alot of the opinions made by M5 (socially liberal, fiscal conservative) but less educated haha... besides being an active union member. i cant put a number on it but i would have to say his experience with the union has been a bit more positive then yours. i wont go into details and shit but it seems personal opinions/observations are sometime a bit more subjective.

i enjoy your stories, you've had a very interesting life, so far haha. you make a good point. i wonder if the "carrot" has to be or ought to be money by itself? i dont find myself very motivated to chase after money. should we consider creating other "carrots" to motivate people? im not too sure what they would be...

apologies on wording the question badly.. im not the biggest fan of capitalism but if you dont mind i'd like to ask you afew questions. anyone who is interested can answer. not looking to start a fight or anything. maybe a better question should be, should unions exist? i dont think unions make claims like they are for the "greater good", i think they do however wish to challenge the corporate structure that exploits their labor. i would argue they create a balance between proper compensation for their labor and cost effective production, at least in theory.. its quite common to see record profits from corporations, all the while they continue to send jobs overseas. im not sure if i find this system morally acceptable. perhaps a larger simplification, how much pizza do they need? im not suggesting we just take the money back from them, but i do ask how should people go about returning higher wages to more people. i dont think you can say "work harder" or "get educated" because when it comes down it someone has to do those menial jobs, drive the delivery truck or bring me my god dam pizza.

which doctrines would those be? Per the quotes you just quoted.... leftist and socialist. Quoted and bolderated for quotagraphical goodness. i ment to ask what specifically about socialist doctrine encourages violence, etc? an example or something would be fine.

mostly fan noise; I have an 80mm 50 CFM/45 dBA fan on my CPU, loud little pucker. Of course if I just upgraded the machine and got one of those low speed 120 mm CPU fans that would probably take care of things right quick Better quality case fans would help too. Best mod I ever did was the 120mm Nexus fans Low speed intake and exhaust fans should keep you cool. Make sure that cpu fan stays clear of dust. water cooling anyone??

ms paint FTFW edit/ kind of hard to read the text, let me know if you need me to explain it. the first thing i did was show you a side view of it. then the next two show you where the brace is, where the fiberglass is laid, and where to vent the pod.

edit: assuming you dont have enough room between skin and panel for another mdf ring for more mounting depth!!! im trying to find a picture of how you can do it. no luck so far.... so ill try to do an outline of the steps but you will have to imagine how it its going to look... 1 remove door panel. 2 attach a mounting brace across the stock speaker hole on the metal door skin. this will hold on to a fiberglass pod. 3 put the door panel back on 4 looking at the hole in the door panel where the speaker would be you can no see a metal brace spanning the internal door skin. 5 tape off from the door panel to the door skin and flat across the metal brace (will look like a bowl shape. (what will happen here is that this create a "tunnel" or cylinder shape chamber that the speaker will be mounted to. also keeps the the rear sound wave from the speaker firing into the cavity in the door.) 6 mount the speaker ring to this mold.. method would probably involve fiberglassing it.. 7 what you should have now is essentially a fiberglass pod. 8 remember that brace attached to the door skin? use bolts to attach the pod to the brace. 9 decide what alignment you will be using the speaker in? aka infinite baffle, firing into the door, or sealed (or aperiodic). to vent the pod into the door just cut/drill some holes on either side of the brace to vent the pod into the door. 10 mount speaker to the ring hopefully you can kind of visualize this... in short your creating a speaker pod just outside the door panel that is attached to the door skin via a brace, which is then vented into the door correctly. edited for condition of dimensions!!!!
