One sheet, ok thanks. Any ideas how much one costs? (First time building my own box) Allthread, I'll probably stick with 2x4s for the bracing.

Are the specs for the BTL sub going to be different or still the same. I wanna make a box soon and wanting to get the right calculations. If they are the same, could someone list the specs for the 15''. Seems they haven't put up anything for the BTL yet. Thanks, -Curt

Could only imagine getting a flat tire... The wheel is right under the box.

Does anyone own a 94-97 Honda Accord Sedan? And if so, do you have a 15'' BTL Sub? If by any chance you do, could you tell me how you made the box for your sub? 5 cf is a lot of space, and my trunk is big but I dont know if its possible or not while still keeping the back 2 seats in... Thanks, -Curt

ehh, When you are working on the box, take your time, but could you please make a small build log for me? I would like to know what I am dealing with. I don't care when you do it. This is a summer project for me. Right now I am doing the small prepping stuff. Big 3 New Alt New Batt more dynamat When summer comes for me, I should have the money to make the box, get the amp, and get the sub. But please don't rush. I would like to see how yours turns out. And please take some pics. Thanks, -Curt

Is it looking something like this? | A general picture of the box | As in thats the shape of the box due to the corners in the trunk... Thanks, -Curt

Hey guys, I recently got my 1/0 gauge wire in the mail the other day, I am prepping it up with the clamps and getting the right sizes, and I look on the website and I see that I need a fused wire. I looked at the big 3 post and it says I should get the factory sized fuse. Can I get some pictures or some detailed information about the setup involved into this? I looked into the Big 3 post and nothing is explained into detail.....Only what it is. Any information would greatly help. Thanks, -Curt

The Big 3 Help

So being a 1/0 Gauge wire, would 200amp fuse work? I am looking at the wire and it only tells me the volts and degrees. Thanks, -Curt -

This weekend I plan on calling Iraggi for a quote on a decent alternator for my car. If I showed you a picture of my engine, you would laugh... My battery is beaten up, the alternators writing on it has faded, and to top it off, my engine has over 200,000 miles on it. So next on my shopping list is a new battery in general. Not one for the trunk until later. Any recommendations? I have looked around the forums and people were saying Kinetik is a good brand. All this information is much appriciated. Thanks, -Curt

If I were to get a pair of 12'' BLs (with cooling, flatwind, daily, lead) What would you recommend me doing to make it sound clean and keep my car running without no stalling. (I have also ordered a Dynamat Trunk Kit too) (Recommend as in amp and box size, and capacitor size.) Also I have a 95 Honda Accord. I looked for the 3 parts to the big 3, only winded up finding 2 of them. 1.) Alt-Batt 2.) (-) Batt to Chassis 3.) I cant find: Batt-engine Any help would be much appriciated. Thanks, -Curt

I have like an interstate battery up front, pretty sure that could be a reason why it is saying 12v unless all batteries say 12v. (Without The Big 3) You also have what I am desperately needing, "The Big 3" Hopefully the wires come in sometime today after school. I hope I wont ever see what I am seeing again.

Thanks shizzon, I actually printed that out in case I lose this post. =) For the Cadence FH-8, this isn't going up under the hood correct? I have a Memphis 150A fuse up front. Is this going to be sitting right next to the amp? And without doing "The Big 3" as of now, my volts stays at 10.4 when my bass is hitting. When it is not hitting its resting at 12.4-12.7. (I did order 1/0 Cables for "The Big 3" today and should be shipped out sometime this week.) So the Cadence FH-8 won't be till later I assume. Another battery? H/O Alt? This is going to be a nice little project over the summer. lol, I am only a cashier that makes $7.75/hour at 27 hours/week. ($175.00 a week.) But yes, I am definitely serious about this and increasing my obnoxious status at school. Thanks, -Curt

Acutally, your right, I asked my dad, he had a look, and he told me that it was already grounded. Thanks for the help Jim. Also, if I were to get 2 12''BLs what amp would you recommend?

I don't want to make this like a half ass job. But thanks for the input. I will keep that in mind if it becomes my last resort. Once again, Thanks, -Curt

Need help on a long lasting durable alternator
cjosisek90 replied to cjosisek90's topic in Fi Technical
I have a sledge hammer enclosure, with 2 12'' Pioneer Subs, a worthless 1.5 Farad cap, and a Kole Audio 1920w Amp. Not much room is left either in my car. Also can someone email me a picture or a how to, on doing the big 3, i heard that is a good necessity to have when powering subs with a high wattage amp. Thanks, -Curt -
Hey guys, I am new to these forums and new to Fi. What i was looking at over the past 2 weeks is that in order to power these subs, you need to require a) cash b) automotive parts c) More parts Lets just stick with b), Now i was looking at some of the earlier posts, alot of them were for the Iraggi Alternators. I myself have a 95 Honda accord. I Like it. I obviously need a new alternator if i am going to get myself 2 Fi subs. Everyone is going for the Iraggi Alternators. I myself can't find one anywheres on the internet. I checked eBay and all they have is 60amp. I am pretty sure 60 amp wont compare to a 2500w amp. So i came to the professionals, you guys, for some advice, tips, and anything in between on helping me out. If you would rather email me, just send a mail over I am always checking my mail. [email protected] Thanks and have a great night. -Curt
