    15" btl application

i did a 146.3 with the dd but want higher numbers with the next setup. I look forward to seeing more of your install. I have heard that not many have better customer service than fi. Only thing i can remember being better was where someone sold on car audio a set of burned up ssa's or something like that and them being burned up and the manufacturer taking care of them anyway.......... either way always awesome. jason

    15" btl application

I want another t-line in my truck. I had a dd 9515g, it didn't hold up. I will have 3kw on hand. What options on the 08 model BTL would get where i want to be with suspension, cooling, and power handling, as well as x max........If a combination of stiff spiders was needed then that would be ok as well. I just don't really know how well they will handle this type of application. It a 2006 nissan frontier(the big ones) xtra cab so i have a decent amount of room as my backseats are removed. advice will be appreciated. Jason

    Subwoofer Choices

Well earlier this year i had a crossfire vr2000@1ohm around 3kw on a dd 9515g in a Pete K. designed t-line. I really like the output through a broad range of frequencies, and plan to do another t-line setup. However i think i could have made a better choice for woofers I have a 2006 nissan frontier (the bigger ones), have quite a bit of room if neccessary. Undecided on an amp to power it but will be at least 3kw with proper alt and batts. I have installed two sets of PG RSD6.5 comps with 100 watts per channel still running passive for now. i think the two sets of comps ran active would almost keep up with the system i have in mind. The plan is to do another t-line but with a woofer better suited for that kind of enclosure. There are a couple factors i am taking into consideration 1. X-max 2. Rms in said enclosure 3. Sound Quality (an eclipse ti 15 outdid the dd in the same box by far. 4. I want it stupid loud, would like to break a 50(i know what it's hard) I think i am thinking in the right terms on this one, but i am welcoming and seeking GOOD advice from people with experience in similar situations Forgot to add, i want 2 12"s or 1 15<-----more than likely the single 15 ps.....the dd died twice, probably my fault but it wouldn't do what i wanted it to so it didn't matter. ' thanks for help in advance Jason

    FI's accomplish dual duty?

i believe so.....if this one won't work i'll have another one designed. I really like how it sounded tonally sp? If you can design one for spl that would sound nearly the same for daily i wouldn't mind that much either. I would rather stick with my two different boxes though. one for daily and one for comps etc. When you say mass loaded, can you explain, i don't know all the terminology. Maybe i can answer that question with more explanation of what you are asking. The box had no fill etc., just a woofer and a lot of area etc. Jason BTW.....thanks for the responses finally.

    FI's accomplish dual duty?

I am planning to purchase a BTL 15 when they are available, i would like to know what kinda applications this sub is gonna be adaptable to. I had a DD 9515G, but everytime i talk to them via e-mail or on the phone their customer service is severely lacking lately. So i sold it. I would like to run one of the BTL's in the DD's place daily in a T-line Enclosure, and then in a standard slot ported, or possibly kerf ported enclosure for when i wanna meter it. What kind of options are gonna be available, and what the specifics of them. I went the the website, and the options and just complete overview of the sub is obviously being revised for the new model. Options i remember that i would be interested in would be High X-Max coil Cooling option Pretty stiff suspension for it to hold up in the T-line without loosening up over time. Would also like a Dual 2 ohm configuration if that is an option. If someone knows what the other options are please let me know. This isn't just a post to waste everyones time, i have been reading and searching, and still am to try and figure out exactly what i want this sub to be. This WILL be my next steup, so in advance i appreciate the time people take to reply. Thanks, Jason
