What kind of car is a zuk dude? And dang really? Thats Badass! I've read on another forum of some guy making payments on his alternator as well to singer. I really can't say enough good things about that guy. He has found himself a customer for life ! My Grand Vitara is Suzuki...or Zuk for short

So the current box is sealed?

Alt looks great- My Singer for my Zuk should be in this week. I can't wait! I didn't talk to him- but he was great to work with...even let me give him half to get it started then shipped when I paid the 2nd half. Not many Companies will do that.

You won't find anyone with a coil to fit it. And they wouldn't be able to order just a few precision wouldn't do it as making a handful especially something this size in small quantities. For reference this coil cost me 75 bucks so if you add the typical 100-150 percent mark up you will be spending at least $150 on just the coil even if they could get their hands on a couple. Besides the fact you won't gain anything but looks as the typical parts being used don't offer anymore throw. My soft parts have been over 40mm outward with no physical damage. This has been confirmed with a klippel analyzer. Besides once you get past 30mm the motor starts running out of motor strength with spl coil. The daily coil offers about 55mm one way. But proper baskets and softparts are still at least a year away to utilize the full 55mm one way linear throw. spl coil has a 50mm winding length the spl has a 95mm lond winding length Holy Jumpin Jesus....that is crazy!

It came in the IA box, it was brand new. Unless they are really good. I don't think that was the case. I think I just shoulda took it easy on it for a bit. It was still playing- you could only hear it at low volume. sounded like a 'loose spring'...boing boing type of sound.(Made me laugh just typing that, lol) Thanks for the compliment on the install- first time really trying to wire neatly.

I have it pulled back out and boxed back up. But when I looked at it it still looked new. Nothing 'looks' damaged. It is only scratchy for the first bit of movement...if you depress the cone about half an inch or more- it moves without and scratching noises. i sent IA an email last night. Depending on what they say- I'll decide what I am going to do.

What You Say When Someone Asks "Why SSA?"
Lee Carter replied to neo_styles's topic in Sound Solutions Audio (SSA®)
No one I know has a clue about anything that isn't Kicker, JL, Rockford, Alpine, etc. They'll say- How'd you end up with that brand? My answer is always that I set out on a search for something better than the everyday setup from best buy... Then I give them a Demo. Most are like "HOLY SH*T!". Nuff Said. Edited due to- i type like a newborn monkey.ugh. -
Ahh- I see- the 'banner' says 1500- but the description's are still for the 'old' units...I stand corrected.

Live and learn I guess... I never heard it change tonally, or smell funny. The cone was luke warm...but I had it turned down for about 3-4mins before feeling it. Gonna pull it back out tomorrow....maybe order a new 1500w version- or maybe a Death Penalty...maybe have DSS recone it...Maybe a sundown Zv4....Who knows- stay tuned.LOL
