Was goofing off on Fleabay, and saw these...14,000 for some 6.5 comps and a 400w amp? WOW! They do have a used set for only 8K. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Critical-MASS-audiophile-6-5-inch-complete-Front-Stage-Amplified-System-CM654a-/321336314419?pt=Car_Speakers&hash=item4ad1230a33 Can they really be that much better? I think it is funny that they state 400w rms but pair them to 100w/channel amp. Makes these 5.000 dollar Morel's look like walmart speakers! (not knocking Walmart speakers- I have a set in my burb.lol) http://www.ebay.com/itm/MOREL-SUPREMO-602-6-5-2-WAY-CAR-AUDIO-COMPONENT-MIDS-TWEETERS-SPEAKERS-NEW-/400605811874?pt=Car_Speakers&hash=item5d45f794a2&vxp=mtr

You know- when I was looking at their amp(as a novice)- I was thinking that visually, they don't look any different than any other amp. (as far as connectors, inputs and such) Now their Subs(UL12) does have a look all its own- with the carbon fiber look, and the magnet structure looks wicked, and the component looks cool too- but that is just looks. Glad I wasn't the only one think that was crazy.LOL

I wish I lived closer- they def get my biz!!!

1992 Olds 88 Royale LS - Build on the Cheap(er)

looks factory! -
Not tuning that low to get a rise at that frequency. And no- i have never tuned so low- this is only my 2nd ported box build. The reasoning for the 22 hz tuning and 5 cubes/sub is at the recommendation of Quentin after several conversations of my goals. I won't quote him, but it was something like a 3db curve from 25-100 hz or something like that. Nice boosted across the widest spectrum possible to avoid any peakyness, yet still pound out good volume. He is the expert- and recommended it(since I am not space limited)- so it is what I am doing. I believe his 'normal' recommended enclosure is 3.5 cubes per sub and tuning in the lower 30's, but the response has a higher spike at tuning. Again not quoting specifics, just a broad interpretation from several PM's.LOL I strongly suggest talking to Q directly when building to you're specific needs.

I am sooo excited for next week! Ordered a Pioneer AVH-X5600 through Sonic Electronics. They had it in stock- Amazon had a 2 week delivery time...sonic is 6 days. Comes with a free dash kit- so it worked out about the same as Amazon in cost. Also ordered: (though Amazon) Metra 40-CR10 Antenna Adapter Axxess GM Wiring harness (GMOS-LAN-012) TaoTronics TT-CC17 Rear view cam (License plate) ^^ Wasn't too sure bout the cam- but the reviews were great for it, and at 50 bucks- what the hell. ALSO- i am expecting my Ethos 15's to arrive next week. Will post some equipment pics when they come in. Next big item to get: Alternator. 320 amp Singer most likely. Will place the order for it on the 28th. I get a little closer with each paycheck.LOL

Preliminary Magnetar 18 parameters

I have the feeling their is going to be a flood of Used Ethos for sale in about 5 months then, Wanna go ahead and start me a lay a way for 2 of these now? J/K! *Unless you want to, then I am serious. EDIT:- just saw the no presale post. -
I'm going to have to look up their subs now. I am sure they are the cats meow so to speak. I guess everything is relative. I am not oposed to running a 1000-1200 dollar front stage, in my <20K dollar Avalanche...So I supposed a 14K front stage in a 200K+ vehicle is on par. They are sexy as hell. EDIT- went and checked out their site. That is why I waven't heard of them- they are way out of my league.lol

I wasn't trying a down them...I was just amazed. I would love to hear a set.

Frustrated today....I screwed up the dang cut list on some of the cuts, and tried to cut my on- the turned out like poo! (I am NOT a carpenter.LOL) Throwing all this wood out. Gonna redo my cutlist when I get back to work(where I have the deminsions in sketchup) and start over. So basically I am putting everything on hold for 2 weeks.

are you from the future? lol GLWS.

Heck yeah- welcome! Looking forward to buying a amp or 2 from you guys. -
After some unplanned decisions(buying my Avalanche) and some other unexpected events. i finally paid off my subs. I am too excited for them to get here.(gonna be a long 3 weeks). I would like to sincerely thank Q for being awesome to deal with. Always replies to Questions, Helped me decide on the correct enclosure for my goals, and worked with me on the timeline. You sir, are top notch in my book.

He has air ride...wieght of this nature isn't going to cause any issues. Just a couple more pounds of air pressure to acheive the same amount of lift. most all bags systems will lift a plenty.(2-3K per bag). Prolly make it ride smoother.lol

Dannnngggg!!(joe dirt) that is awesome.

I may be all screwed up- since I have no experience with aero ports...but I come up with 2 6" ports at 27"L...and may still be on the small side. Only posting this since no one else has jumped in. But if it were me- that is where I'd start. Based on below...
