Question about 15" ethos port area?
Lee Carter replied to osiris10012's topic in Direct Sound Solutions
I can't speak to your specific needs- But Quentin suggested to me to use 52" per sub for best results in my situation. But I am tuning very low for a flatter response curve. Best thing to do is PM Q with your goals, and he can help you out. -

Man- Haven't looked in here in a bit....REALLY nice work! Love the use of the 10/4 wire, and the sandwiched T-nuts.

Howdy do! Welcome to SSA. LOTS of good, no BS/hype, info around here.

thanks. There is none. Each sub has it's purpose. aka, no "one" best sub.

Enjoyed the review- but now it begs the question- which sub IS the best in the world? LOL

Seems like they are getting it taken care off. Sucks that it took so long. -
I was thinking that- then you said it in the video.LOL That poor sheet metal. I is pounding the crap out of the door and roof.
-
At this rate- I'll have my review up sooner...and I still have a couple of months before mine will be done.LOL You may be right Quentin.
-
I have considered it. I decided to stick to a single setup.
-
LOL- I think I am gonna hang on to it myself, for a spare- being that this is a daily driver.
-
Thanks Freddie. Trying to be finished with the underhood by the time I go home- so I can focus on the amp rack then.
-
Dammit- wrote out the post them closed the window on accident.LOL Got the new Alt. Pulled the truck into the hanger here at work and installed it. The PCM contrals my voltage, so I guess I won't notice much until I install the amp and put some draw on it. Seems to be functioning fine. old vs new Backsides Installed- That's all for today.

10" sub for sealed box .5-.7cu ft, 5.25" deep or less.
Lee Carter replied to hondakilla98's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
I am sure the OP can correct me if I am wrong- but I think trunk/rear deck in GTO is limited by the placement of the gas tank. They moved it to behind the rear seat to meet our crash standards. Edit found this pic... There does appear to be room to work with...These are 8's...I'd thin you cound make 10's work. Though the Quarter panels boxes are more common. -
JEEZUS!

I'll give him this. I ordered yesterday morning...it has shipped already. I'll have it tomorrow! Fuses / 2 holders should be here monday. Also ordered some shrink wrap from SSA(SHCA), hoping it will get here pretty quick too. Going to replace all the red electric tape with the shrink wrap to make it look a lil cleaner.
