    01 F250 XLT... 4 VVX 10's

id have to run a good 2ohm amp and those can be a bit pricey....decided to run two.
  2. ive heard that before. guess i'll just stop spinning my wheels and get the crescendos...
  3. hey guys, its been a while since i last was on here. Broke down and decided to get 4 skar vvx10's for my truck. Its a 2001 ford f250. The woofers are d4's so ive been trying to figure out which was the bes route to go with amps. I wont lie, I picked up a Soundstream rub1.1600d initally and was going two run two of them (2 woofers per 1600). Electrcial wont be an issue as i already have a 270 amp alt and an xs power 3000 secondary battery. Deka batt in the front. I'm just stretched on amp choice. I've looked at everythng and just cant decide. I trust the soundstream, but if there is better out there, i wanna try them. any suggestions? if i could keep it under $800 id be stoked...lol
  4. Those Crecsendo's do come with gain knobs you know 99% of the time when an amplifier fails, it's due to user error. I would just stick with your original plan and save the headache. Not really sure what you mean by headache. But i completely understand what you mean by user error. I've seen many users fry an amp or blow woofers because they had no clue what they were doing. I dont wanna be just a street beater. I enjoy quality bass. But i also want to hold my own at a show here and there. I like when people have no clue what im running but amazed at how clean it is.....thats the rush...
  5. thanx for he advice. I think you helped me a while back when i had my taurus. That build came out really great. I certainly dont wanna smoke anything. Any opinion on a better amp besides the soundstream? i was certainly considering the cresendo bc2000d....just dont know if 2 vvx10's can take one
  6. @shizzon. Nothing i just assumed i could maybe do better. Ive heard alot of good things about the ruby's but ive also heard a few horror stories. I did purchase one already, just got hesitant after i found some of the horror stories. I have another vehicle it could go in thats why i didnt trip after i bought it....
  7. From th elittle research i did, its budget friendly to run two amps at 1 ohm each or strap at 2 ohm. Most of the amps that ive seen that produce big power at 2ohms can get real pricey..... EX. SAZ-3500d, Skar sk4500.1, BC3500 to name a few ive looked at...
  8. It looks like he wants to run a pair at 1 ohm each or strapped at 2. thats right..... it was my understanding from a power stand point you gane more with running two amps, but its much more efficiant to run just one if possible...(cant spell, just woke up. lol)
  9. Okay fellas. I need some help with this one cause i'm finally at the point i have no clue what to do. I have an 03 Ford Taurus. Im running two RE SX 12D2's on two Lunar L1500's and Rockford Fosgate Power 4004. (If you wanna see my amps heres the link: http://www.lunaramplifiers.com/product_3_2.html) Ive heard all about the big 3 upgrade and i wanted to do it. But, the damn power wire runs through the front fuse box as well as the alternator wire. Making it virtually impossible to do it unless someone can help me with that. Seeing as how i was faced with that dilema, my problem arises. I've read and researched bats and caps and my original setup had a 800 Kinetik in the trunk. But for some reason, it doesnt last. even after being recharged. Since i cant do the big 3 upgrade, would it be better just to run a 2 farad cap instead and not put the additional load on the alt? Contious play with that extra bat had major bass drop. The alt has been replace with a fresh stock on and i plan on getting an iraggi 220. Need some help friends....
  10. is it a screw post like the kinetik? and remy says they are out of stock...
  11. What model number Deka's are you getting, hopefully it is the 9A31? the one i have now is a 9A78DT...know anything? To make sure you have enough juice get the 9A31 for you secondary battery and you will be good to go. will do....I wonder if theres a price difference? I paid 152 here for the one under the hood....
  12. What model number Deka's are you getting, hopefully it is the 9A31? the one i have now is a 9A78DT...know anything?
  13. That wire is hard wired to the fuse box....unless you can tell me how to get around it. And i haven't played the system yet. I took the kinetik out today to get it tested and with the lose power wires in the back. i was a lil afraid to run it...
  14. thats so messed up they would sell that crap to people and u dont need it...
  15. LMAO!! Ive heard that too jay-cee!! and thanx Shizzon....I'll Purchase another deka tommorow....
  16. i havent done the installation in this car. It was all professionally done...why didnt they put one to begin with? and why are the same people telling to put a cap now?
  17. where would i purchase this relay?
  18. Even though the Big may be hard to do (the positive wire from battery to alternator isnt completely neccessary if you dont upgrade your alternator and you already have a nice size wire on there such as 4 gauge). I only replace my ground wire out the big 3 (battery negative to cars frame and alternator negative/engine block to cars frame) and it gave me steady voltage and higher car turn on voltage. A cap wont help you since you are having voltage or not enough power issues in my eyes. So what do i do when i get the Iraggi 220 alt?
  19. The car was a daily driver/ comp. I competed just for fun and to meet new people. Battery up front isnt stock. Its a Deka Intimidator. Bought it today fresh. B4 the deka was a optima yellow top. Alt is 120 amps. Still using the Lunar's...
  20. Hey fellas!! its been a while since i last was on here. its good to see the forum still going strong!! I gots a situation i needs help with fellas. I just ordered an 220 iraggi alt for my car. I've been having battery issues for a few months now and im convinced a new alt will defitnely help my setup and maybe fix my battery issues. I have an optima red top under the hood and a kintek 800 in the back next to the amps run in series. The optima has been recharged twice and from what im told needs to be recharged again. I've done a lil research and from what i gather, optima aint the company they used to be. im sick of my red top, so my question is whats a better battery? people say its just the red tops that suck and that i should switch to blue tops. others say go with odyssey or interstate. any suggestions?
