You would be correct. Whats the point of that?

What does clamping an amp mean? "my amp clamped at 2800watts at 2ohm 13.8 volts" does that mean he stuck it in one of these, and it put out better?
-
I like my '94 GMC Sonoma.. its got zero options.. If I had to buy new I'd get a crew cab diesel sierra, non 4x4 and bag it ... but I can't afford that.
-
I seen that when I was in Texas.. not sure if it was in Austin though...

Until someone shows up with a Tatra. Or hell, a 'Mog if we have a requirement of fitting into a parking space And these are both practical. Unimogs are... Theres a guy that drives one around in the city here, big friggin tires, big deck on it and a picker... I think he spend about half an hour at the gas station though.

YES! Unimog for sure.

There wasn't really any car audio specific subwoofer that could handle 1000w back then. 1000w amps were over $2-$3 A watt Crankenstein's weren't rated for anything close to what they could handle. I jokingly bought my first pair to see how quick they would die. The fact that they didn't is what enticed me to buy more. The new lines look very similar to a few other companies basket designs. I would be hard pressed to pay anywhere near the msrp they have listed for the new lines now though. Hart had the cardiac series. I believe those were the first 1Kw 12V marketed drivers. Pyle, the original Pyle from Huntington, was great gear for it's period. They began a slow steady decline and eventually the new Pyramid bought them out. Pyramid used to be a very decent company in the late 80s, early 90s. I believe their Gold Series was their top-of-the-line. I had one of those amps for years and threw everything at it and it never faded. Seems like everything is going downhill these days

I remember reading things about a van that crankenstein had... ohhh if I could only remember some stuff about it.. pic....

I got a bit bored waiting on my subs to show up... any day at all now... I did this in Autodesk 3D Studio Max. there is no back to it.. no basket no motor etc... I might make a box to stick it in. What you guys think? I did this DD/Sundown combo a long time ago.

Clamping an amp?

So in other words, he tested the amp to see if it put out rated power? Its a Autotek MX5000... -
Online Battery retailers...
gearstix posted a topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Is there any online retailers that will ship to Canada? I've contacted Battery Direct in Edmonton, they suggested a blue or yellow top, but there prices seemed kinda expensive.. -
They put the meter on a stand that is 6' from the vehicle and 4.5' off the ground and it takes a 30 second average. Thanks for the suggestion but i know airforces peaks at 41hz. It would be a great song if I peaked in that range. Would you be able to use something like Bass Mekaniks?

Some cops are asses. It seems that male cops are nice to females and vice versa...but I've never met a gay cop. I've never seen a cop beat up a woman..

I like that idea, in fact i was looking towards tech crew in school plays. Plus, idk if i heard correctly or not, but they are thinking of having a DJ at lunch more often. My buddy and his friend do that kinda stuff at our school. They do DJ'in for dances, and tech stuff, like hooking up projectors and things. Maybe you might enjoy something like that.

lol thats typical for the "african americans "(no racism intended) at my school. i hate when ppl do that to chittty cars. not african americans...blacks. we are black, not african american. but yeah i hate chitty lift jobs too...but i love that color and the spokes. Yeah if it was a burgundy flake it would look really nice. I agree with the spring and brake upgrade though. I laugh at people in my town with hummers with lifts and big 22"+ tires and wheels... and stock brakes... thats asking for trouble.. theres more rolling mass for the brake to stop.

Sundown SAZ woofer? or better yet SARZ or... nevermind. I take it you will be able to option out the sub, with different coils and stuff?
-
Bucket Bass FTW!!! just....no. Also FYI, its Nitrous, or Nitrous Oxide. Nitro (Nitroglycerin) is a completely different forumla/chemical... and this has nothing to do with home audio.
-
I've never owned one but I'd probably go with what M5 said. I would think its the same thing as putting a sub in a 5 gallon bucket (which I've seen done before)
-
Your reffering to the subs that are in a tube that looks like a nitrous bottle?
-
Well said. It took you all that time to write that and you still ain't got the mdf roof done... hahha j/p

I imported in the box Noobtasic14 did for me.. and redid it so it would show up correctly.. it was a bit rushed ..

Haha, sorry man Are you still running the 12" RE SE's? Thought it was 24...
