Sounds like you've got it figure out to me..

Bad idea...those motors snap baskets that are screwed to the top plate....let alone some tiny 1/4 20 bolts
-
Should be set 3-4Hz below the tuning frequency of your port.
-
you need to turn your subsonic filter up..the sub is unloading (playing far below port tuning frequency)

There is no 'magical amount' they are all generalized for you to figure out what will work best in your install and your musical tastes. This is what DIY is all about. Stay within the ballpark and your good to go for a musical and daily driving scenario. If you want a more pronounced bottom end and less mechanical power handling and a slight more 'boomy' sound go with a box on a bigger end of the spectrum. If you want a less pronounced bottom end and more mechanical handling and a 'tighter' more accurate sound go with a box on the smaller end of the spectrum... Thanks! -Nick

Not sure if i got one or not? I looked through and I didn't get 3 emails from anybody from the same address the 14th? Did I get back to you? yes you got back to me, think black CA blue and plastic shipping bag Ah yes. Gotcha...thought I had everything caught up.

No issues firing upwards..but in a van it's somewhat of a waste because all that is going to happen is roof flop..badly. Bigger box is going to have less mechanical power handling...the low end will be more pronounced with less power. The smaller box will have a more accurate response with respect to the larger enclosure, and will have more mechanical power handling than that of the larger box.. Middle of the road should yield the best of both worlds..

Not anything different from what we normally recommend...in your case there's just 4 subs.. 6-10 cubes per sub with 12-16sq inches of port per 1 cubic foot of volume (roughly) tuned to 33Hz Need your dimensions to work with before we can figure out a box.

Broken Tinsel lead and burned hole in spider !? help
NDMstang65 replied to airbear's topic in General Fi
You can either send it in for a recone or we can send a kit out to you and you can do it yourself.. -
We're only shipping via UPS to Canada now and it is going to be expensive. USPS lost entirely too many packages. We'll ship it USPS, we'll forward you the customs documents..after that we have nothing to do with it. It would no longer be our problem should it get lost. Triple P you still do not have your sub? You've got to be kidding me?! I know for a fact that a 2nd one was sent out to you.

Chill out man, I don't sit around a computer 10 hours a day I will get to you. I'm building a couple demo vehicles and had a doctor's appt and paint supply store and everything else. We need to figure out why the subs did that, odds are it is a setting or a box issue or you just blatantly beat the heck out of them with a ton of power. We need to figure out what you need to do to prevent you from doing it again. What's your amp settings, volume settings, preout voltage, subsonic filter, gain setting, what's the box tuned to, and what kind of music have you been playing? Fi Car Audio - Recones RMA - 7182008 5480 Cameron St #107 Las Vegas NV 89118 In the box please include your Name, Address, Email address, and Phone number on a piece of paper with each box. Thanks -Nick -
Important Kinetik Battery info for those with problems

The original ones that you can get off of the ford vehicles are much more reliable and stouter than the ones you would get from autozone. Granted it is an alternator either way if you need one, you can pickup one of the ford 3g's for a little bit of nothing at a junk yard and odds are have good service out of it instead of buying a new one. But the module works on the el-cheapo's as well. I'm just not a huge fan of those cheap ass electronic parts that autozone and the like sell.. -
Not for long lol Havoc is definitely one of my favorite subs of all time..no doubt
-
Email me your address / zip code and i'll see what I can come up with. Thanks! -Nick

Recones done and shipped, you should have in your hands next week if not before.. Sorry man can't sit on a computer 10 hours a day doing email and keeping up with the forum, i've got way too many cars/demo vehicles here to work on and have done to do so. We only do recones 1 day per week. If it's not done that day then it rolls over into the following week. Production can't stop for 1 recone..sorry.

well let me ask you, what is so wrong with Iraggi and Reman? Everybody on here has said they are chit but cant give me a reason why or either they've never used them personally. I know this site is affiliated with Powermaster but that doesnt mean that Powermaster, Ohio, Mean Green are the only people who can make a good alt. I wouldn't give dom a single red cent, he's screwed way too many of my friends over. If i can get a chinese alternator that has all the same parts in it, or one off the shelf at autozone and make it perform the same as that 750 dollar alternator, am I the fool for doing it? Don't think so boss Hey Nick, I would be interested in having the Engineering dept put this to the test. We have the necessary dyno and test equipment to simulate any scenario. Can you point me in the direction of one of these "chinese alts" and modules that I could put heads up against one of our equivalent units? I put a lot of merit into pretty much anything you can contribute to the forums, but I have my doubts that this setup can compare favorably in a real test comparison. Sure man...grab a 3G Ford alternator..pull one off your shelf if you wish and test it i know you've got some laying around...then hook a module from missinglink up to it and test it. (loaded, unloaded, idle, 2000rpm, and 3000 rpm) Go to autozone/advance/pepboys whatever..do the same thing. Every one of the alts are either chinese or mexican made that they carry, and have a warranty as well. Believe you'll be in for a surprise had I not seen it myself i'd never believe it. -
You sure your dad needs a BTL? He might be able to run a pair of smaller woofers and a less powerful amp and be just as loud if not louder and sound better..
-
Low end will come around when you get some time in on it...it will take 20-30 hours of play to get the suspension used to moving. Glad you like it thus far!
-
We've got some shirts, dont have many left right now. We'll have a whole apparel lineup eventually decently soon..
-
That's how it works man, you've got a 3-5 day build time, sometimes 7-9 days depending on how busy we are. Then UPS is rescheduled and it's shipped out when they pick it up after the build time. Every single speaker is hand built to order..we don't stock anything to pull off the shelf. Thanks! -Nick

Shot you one back the other day Carl, did you not get it? Internet has been buggy here lately..

No, not 'Fi' recones, BTL recones won't work in a MT. MT takes a much smaller coil than the BTL has..the BTL coil will set on the top plate. We have coils that will work fine, but they aren't the same coils that the BTL uses..
