Sorry I don't sit on the forum and wait for people to post questions, entirely too busy for that. I am only on here one time a day if that. I haven't been on here since yesterday morning when you said you wanted to send it in. I need your zipcode to calculate return shipping to you.

Nothing different..there isn't any cooling gaps or anything in between the slugs. We just elected to do the 4 piece slugs. It is actually a different tooling than the XXX is. The XXX is designed to have gaps inbetween the magnets. Those slugs and the older single slug motors are fine to work together, there isn't that much of a difference. But we've been building them that way for nearly a year now...

So you ordered a recone and paid for it already? You need to ship the sub in with all of your information if you want us to do it. Name, Address, Phone Number, Email Address, What it is, What you want done, Coil (d1/d2) etc. Also there is additional shipping charge that is not calculated for the recone basket. The charge that is on the recone is for the kit being shipped to you. Not the entire sub.

Mainly look for an amp with an adjustable subsonic filter. Do not buy one that does not have one unless you have the processing to cut frequencies out below the tuning of your ported enclosure.
-
Shouldn't need a bigger amplifier.

Order it straight off of the site...'Other Recones' spelled backwards. enoceR-TM-ER ER-TM Series Recone kits. Options of D1 or D2 8 layer flatwind coils, extra spiders, or super tough integrated lead suspension. Product code: 11101 Price: $ 95.00 Choose the size and the other options on the right hand side drop down menu. We've got everything coded now so it does it by itself. https://ssl.perfora.net/www.ficaraudio.com/sess/utn;jsessionid=154aa7a69633650/shopdata/0080_Recones/0020_NON+Fi+Recone+Shop/product_overview.shopscript

No..won't work. Coils and everything is different. If you did order BTL kits for BL's then you need to contact sales about canceling your order.
-
It'l fail when it breaks . You won't have problems with that amount of power if you aren't silly with the knobs.
-
With that said you can not tune your enclosure any higher than 33Hz. Dual 1ohm coil is what you need. But you would probably be better off with a Q. Honestly isn't enough amp to run a BL to where it should be.
-
You can send the motor into us. Pretty sure we can recone that one.
-
Highly recommend not using that amp as I do not think it has a subsonic filter if I remember correctly.

I'm on the way home from CES so I figured I would post some pics of some cool stuff around the shop. I talked Scott into letting me take some pictures of the new 22" basket as well as new proprietary speaker measurement system utilizing a laser and some other cool stuff hanging out at the shop. Here's the measurement system: It is attached to a 400lb 4" thick solid piece of solid granite.

Doubt that very very very seriously.

Read them "Backwards" Those names are copyrighted so nobody can advertise that they sell rebuild kits for anything that they do not own the copyright on..if you can't figure out everything on that page is backwards i'm not sure what else to tell you lol. enoceR-XS-ER ER-XS Series Recone kits. Options of D1 or D2 8 layer flatwind coils, extra spiders, super tough integrated lead suspension, or a custom machined aluminum compression plug for increased thermal capacity. That's the recone you want.

If you are looking to know "what is going to be louder" there simply is not any way to tell you... If I was that good I would be spending my time in las vegas taking over every single casino..because i would know what number was coming up on roulette before it did every time..what cards were going to fall in black jack etc. It is simply impossible to tell you one way or another which one is going to be definitively louder. Regardless of what woofers are in consideration.

Never got an email from you...and I never go outside of our forums...i barely have time to go to our forum, much less elsewhere. You can order right off of the website, you just have to click 'Canada' when you order. We have it coded so it works properly now.
-
Make sure you have an adjustable subsonic filter as well that is set 2-3Hz below the tuning of the enclosure...otherwise you'll be here asking "WHY DID MY SUB BREAK YOUR SUBS SUCK"
-
What a subwoofer is supposed to play.. 0-80Hz.. It will play 20kHz if you want it to..
-
Building a wall in a CRX is pretty much pointless..kind of like taking a Lamborghini off roading..it just shouldn't be done. You would have been much better off with a pair of 12's in that car.

Is fi audio going to make a new more power full subwoofer that is chea
NDMstang65 replied to basslover's topic in Fi Products
That's what we have the car audio lines for..car audio Home stuff needs to be used for what it is intended to be used for. -
How I can buy production FI? Who is the dealer in the USA?
NDMstang65 replied to Dinamik73's topic in General Fi
Not sure how we can "time" something for you to get it here in the states... If you'd like to order something and have it shipped somewhere here in the US you can, or we can ship internationally depending on where you are located. We do have international distributors set up. Thanks! Nick -
Zapco makes great stuff..however the vast majority of the people who run the subs simply can not afford a zapco amplifier...because they are pricey. I just use Kicker amps in the demo vehicle because they work well and I have the processing power to not have to worry about the amplifiers not having a subsonic filter... -Nick

problem wiring XCONS [resolved]
NDMstang65 replied to brooklyny's topic in Sound Solutions Audio (SSA®)
No..the little brown residue is flux that is used during the soldering of the terminals, completely normal. -
Not exactly.. It does use the same 2 slugs though
-
Use the current BL parameters...they're close enough.
