I've got a BTL 18 in 15 cubes @ 15Hz for the house...with a down firing power port.. Sounds great ..contrary to what some people may believe
-
If it still says "Billing Information Received" they have not went anywhere..do not rely on when UPS says they will be there unless it says "In Transit"
-
Lead time is still the typical 3-7 business days...as everything is built per order. I probably wouldn't run that much power to the Q's if that is what you are referring to.

Sorry i just really dont see what you mean. fact is i dont know much about how is a sub is built so thats why i asked, if it cant be done then cool I'll move on to an other plan. i would say its more like asking the dealer what can be done with the car before i drive it off the lot. Personally to me it wouldnt matter what sub it is thats why i worte what im trying to get which is a nice soundsing sub that can take 2500 watts. Ask yourself this...do you need to run that much power or is there any reason that you should need to run that much power? Or should you probably follow what is suggested and recommended...so let's look at a scenario. You purchase a car..from a dealer. They assume the following: A) You can read as you probably read the gas mileage, warranty information, etc. B) They do not care if you can read or not...you signed and/or clicked the "I agree to the terms and conditions" without even reading them..so if you do manage to break it it is your fault because you did not read the warranty that you signed away that you read. If you do blow the car up the manufacturer/dealer is completely off the hook due to your signature. You purchased a car to go 70mph on the interstate in 5th gear to cruise daily for 300,000 miles..because it should be known that is why there is a 5th gear to travel at that speed. Or you can buy the very same car, attempt to take it 70mph on the interstate in 1st gear at 6500rpm depending on gearing of course..and you might make it 3 miles before the engine grenades. The dealer did not say that you couldn't do that..but it is recommended that you do not. Resulting in the 'abuse' clause in the warranty..because you abused it. Any idiot knows that you can't drive down the interstate in 1st gear and expect a car to last...speakers being mechanical devices are simply no different then the car. Case in point..you don't need that kind of power. Nor should you run a car in 1st gear down the interstate...if you want it to last anyhow. WOW Alright this Topic is getting a little out of hand, just to clear it up I was asking if a Q can be BUILT to handle that kind of power like a Quad coil deal , thats it really never said anything out just running one off the self. Now that i see it cant then cool I'll look into other options its no big deal . Which is why I explained the scenario more in depth..and why it can not be done because it isn't designed to do that. If you only need to run 1000 watts..1200 at most...why do you feel the need to run more power? If you feel the need to run gobs of power a Q is not for you...which has been said. Speakers (specifically subwoofers) are at most 1% efficient in converting watts electric into watts acoustic..so the other 99% of the energy that you are putting into that coil is burned off as you guessed it..heat. Which is why cooling technology is so important. But all the cooling and machining inside of the motor can only do so much to keep the coil from failing thermally..

Realllly bad idea. You don't buy a car and drive it around in 1st gear down the interstate bouncing off of the rev limiter...and then take it back to the dealership and say "It just broke" when it flies apart like a 2 dollar watch...do you?

Your order was just received and processed on Monday in which you should have a tracking number automatically generated and emailed to you from UPS Quantum View. This is the text from the sticky at the top of this page of "How long will it take me to get my sub". So long as the tracking number says "Billing Information Received" that means that the order has not left yet. Read the text below as it explains everything in greater detail of how things work. Thanks! Nick

No I meant..get me the information of the shop. Wasn't aware that internet jargon has to be politically correct...
-
Get me the contact information of the shop [email protected]

You have 400 watts in a shoe box sized enclosure.. It isn't going to emphasize the 'low end'..you probably aren't getting it remotely close to full linear stroke with that little bit of power. Port it..

The first email we ever got from you was on Friday..after we already left for the day, and you got a reply today..which is the next business day that we are in the shop. Your sub is on the way...which is still ahead of the 3-7 day lead time to actually build the speaker which we always say. (5th business day) It will update on the UPS website around 9:00pm PST. This all depends on when the server updates on UPS's end. I guess you simply did not understand that because you have a tracking number does not mean that your speaker went anywhere. We build them ourselves, in house, when your ticket is generated UPS thinks that the sub is leaving that day..and it is not...it has to go through a manufacturing process because we do not rebox and relabel anything like many "Manufacturers" do. We build our stuff..and machine our stuff..in house to order. Click the link below and read...it is at a sticky in the top of this section. That thread has been there since 2007...and it is also in the 'terms and conditions' which you agreed to once you placed the order originally..that you probably did not read. "For all Fi subs it is a 3-7 business day lead time. As all drivers are custom made when the order is placed (started the next business day if the order is placed after 12pm). Due to the ever increasing number of daily orders, we have had to change from our initial manufacturing flow process to one that is slightly more flexible and should be stable for the long term regardless of the number of orders received daily. Once we have received payment (and it has cleared) and the building process begins you will be emailed a tracking number via UPS (Quantum View). It Will say something to the extent of "Billing information received". This means that a tracking number has been assigned to your order, but it has not left the facility left. Please note that the delivery date noted in the email is assumed for same day pick up and is not correct. This will be updated once UPS picks it up and the tracking information will change to "In transit" with the correct estimated delivery date. Delivery time normally runs from 2-6 business days depending on how far you are from our Las Vegas facility." Thanks, Nick

Probably because we work Monday-Friday 9-5...if you email anybody on the weekend you are not going to see anything until Monday.. You must put a subject in the subject line..as well as your name and/or order number..location etc. We're good..but we're not that good...we can't read minds and automatically know who everybody is by a screen name.
-
Might want to take note yesterday was SUNDAY ..business hours are monday-friday 9-5 we'll get it taken care of today and be in contact with you
-
No.. Only place you can get Fi is direct. If somebody is ordering them and trying to mark them up for a profit that is their own business... Regardless there are no dealers.
-
Completely different subs. Would never sell the same thing with a dealer brand as a direct brand...that's just silly.

HC is nothing like a BTL. We do have original spec parts for the HC's that we can do a recone for you. Do you want to send it in or do you want to purchase a kit?
-
The sticker is for asthetics....because it looks cool. The magnet boot is for asthetics..because it looks cool If you have a 12" BTL you need to take the magnet boot off though, it will not fit in the cut out hole with it on.

What part of if I am not here to see your question do you not understand that I can not answer it? I was not here. I am here twice a day monday-friday, 5 in the morning for a few minutes and 7 in the evening for a few minutes IF I have time. I can not answer something if I do not see it. I do not have telepathy or 'spidey sense' of ..hey somebody posted a question on the forum..i need to run to the internet right now and answer it! Normal business and my family takes priority over sitting here on the forum, I am sorry that you feel otherwise. Doing recones is a service to others, as a 'thank you' and is not a necessity we do not have to do it.. Other business takes priority over that. Not in over my head by any means, it has just been a very bad week and a half is all..with little time to do anything, aside from other events occurring. Go to the ford dealership and ask them to fix your honda...sure they can do it..but it isn't what they keep in stock to fix, nor is it their top priority. They would rather sell you a new ford because it is much easier than them to arrange them fixing the honda for you...because everything is already set up to sell the ford, instead of fix the honda. But they offer the service of fixing the honda as a 'thank' you' because the honda dealership in town is out of business...or is asininely high on pricing. Sorry is all I can say...I don't really feel that I should have to explain why I haven't been here and why I haven't answered your question and put my personal life on the internet..but you insisted. So there it is. Thanks.

Q. how to know the appearance of fully loaded or not.
NDMstang65 replied to pilyo's topic in General Fi
in that case buyers can be scammed for getting a non fully loaded subs. Nick and Scott should fix this by putting at least a serial code or sticker to indicate its modifications. Don't even want to think about that mess of programming that. They've already answered your questions. Minus Earthman's mis information about the black spacers...all of the 12's have 1 layer, all of the 15's have 2 layers and the 18's have no spacers. You can't tell what any of them have unless you pull them apart. Thanks, Nick -
Aside from a death in the family of a very close relative and 3,000 other things going on I am deeply sorry I am not here at your beck and call 8 hours a day. It is a 15 second question that I can not answer if I do not have the information to answer it at the time that I am here, now that I have the information that I needed and I am here I will answer your question. Shipping looks to be about $32.23 back to you. Thanks, Nick
