You don't need inductance figures. It plays up to 80Hz fine..and you shouldn't be playing anywhere near that in a HT setup anyhow. As far as what options you would need..really depends on how much power you are running. The Hqts and inductance ring should be a given for the sealed enclosure. If you need cooling or not depends on how much power you intend on running..

Soundstream XXX re-cone or just a new surround?

We'll give you a deal on a recone for shipping it in. Any body that condones wiring below 1ohm is an idiot. Those korean/chinese amps cannot handle it..the power supply starts freaking out and it just goes bad..quickly. You loose TONS of control the lower you start wiring something. I don't know what they rated them at originally..but i'd call it around 2500 watts. We rate things conservatively..as we see waaaaaaaaaaaaay too much stupid stuff happening. Saying something is 8000 watts rms is just stupid and a marketing ploy. -

$65 was for a COIL..that's nothing else but hopes and dreams. You'd have to send one of the subs in to us for us to do. I don't know what the gap height is on those or how the baskets is configured to the top plate. I also do not know the flange size on the basket either..and telling you how to measure everything for us to set it up is going to be a nightmare. Once we get the heights and how everything is set into the log book then we can build kits no problem. We just need one to build off of. Also in regardes to the spider comment? We use poly cotton and kevlar...? "IA" doesn't make anything that would work for that sub... We do though. It's just a Dual 1 or dual 2ohm, no quads. -
Don't think you can run an amp at .5ohm nominal load daily either. Any manufacturer that condones doing that is stupid. DO NOT do it. You WILL burn stuff up. Get a dual 2 and wire in parallel to 1ohm, and leave it at that...people thinking you have to wire shit way down to get more power out of it blows my mind...you do NOT do that stuff for daily. A tone burst at an SPL competition..sure..daily. NO. Those korean/chinese amps cannot handle it. They freak out.

Sounds to me like you need to crimp your connections properly. Anybody who works for the local power company would have a set of proper crimpers. They're about 3 feet long and if they have the proper dies they can crimp 4/0 or 500 MCM. Large Compound Action Crimp Tool - Klein Tools 2006 -

we can recone it with parts that actually work properly.. -
Why not put it in a simple ported enclosure tuned low?

IB woofers are not meant to be loud..if you are going for output then you are looking in the wrong direction. You have to have massive amounts of cone area before you get to the point of something being as loud as a sealed box or ported enclosure. Most guys who run IB in a car are going strictly after SQ..and that's really it. -

It's infinite baffle..as in you do not put the sub in a box. It's rated at 550 watts at 20Hz, which means..IB..you can run about that much power to it until it bottoms out. -
Thats Ontario California, the main UPS hub for the region.

Disappearing for a while from the land internet..I won't be here or around email for a while..so if you email me and don't hear anything back..that's why. Thanks!
-
Sure it is so I don't get bitched at for not answering email because people have zero patience

No such thing as vacation ..and i'm just disappearing..only to appear when i appear again..

How much are the amps?
-
For the record..we do not make SPL subs. Every single sub we make is made for music...some are simply more extreme than others.
-
No it wont. Just because you have a tracking number doesn't mean anything has went anywhere. It just means your order has been assigned a tracking number. Nothing has shipped anywhere until the tracking number changes from "Billing information received" to "In transit" UPS bases ship times off of when the ticket is printed.
-
Because it is wired properly now instead of shorting a coil out lol The subs are stiff when you get them..don't be scared of it..they'll break in over time.
-
Um...why do you have 3 wires? Take the wire that is in the black (negative) terminal in picture number 1, and hook it to the red (positive) terminal in picture number 2 You then have the red (positive) terminal in picture number 1 with no wire in it, and the black ( negative) in picture number 2 with no wire in it. That is where your postiive and negative hooks from your amplifier... You've got some coils fighting each other I think..if you have this hooked up in "series" as i've described above there should be ZERO reason as to why you have 2 pieces of speaker wire in 1 terminal block. Each terminal should have 1 piece of wire in it.
-
Take the sub out of the box and take a picture of the terminals with the wire going into them like you say you have it.
