Your meter is messed up...every single coil has the exact same amount of wire wound on the former..it is impossible to have any more then 1.4-1.5 ohms of DCR. That is the "standard" D2 DCR.
-
in for a bit
-
What's your zip code so I can figure shipping, you are wanting to do the recone yourself right? Do you want integrated tinsel leads or the original ones?
-
You will never hear the difference between the two. It's simply machining tolerances.
-
Magnets have been cleared today and we should have our container in on Monday. Orders will start shipping out on Monday in the order that they were received. Thanks!
-
No..everything else is normal. Still a 3-7 business day build time. We'll knock them out as fast as possible for back orders. Your delivery date will change when UPS gets the sub in their system. Until then it is just going to say 'billing information received' We generated a lot of tracking numbers today. If they don't ship today (which they wont) then the date will be different for arrival.
-
a X would work fine..you've only got a little bit of power
-
By definition for one to work properly for the frequencies a subwoofer actually uses...it needs to be longer then your car is. You honestly have no idea where it is tuned to, regardless of who says what. I don't suggest doing it at all. Many people have had tons of issues with "T lines" in cars...our woofers move..they have enough coil to snap the surround... Do as you please though...if you break your sub don't say I didn't warn ya
-
Still waiting...hopefully we'll have some info today maybe.
-
Don't suggest doing that especially in a car. That's a quick and easy way to break a sub.
-
Depends on what day of the week we do recones and when they arrive. We try to get them turned around within 2 weeks.
-
Just leave it with a standard one honestly. Set the amp up and tell her not to turn the volume past where ever you set it up for. The BP doesn't change the "SQ" of it..the spider setup is the same on those.
-
Honestly you can't recone it and make it handle more power thermally. That's where the machine work comes in with the BP power option... If you stick around 800 or so watts per sub you'll never have an issue so long as you don't get knob happy
-
If you'd actually use subs that are made for a ported box...and braced the ported box that they are in..you'd gain. But no matter how many times I tell you that you don't want to listen.
-
Soft parts..not a problem. But we do not have any more magnets for those...sorry.
-
No that won't work..HC's are different. We can build you HC recones as well.
-
Best magnet manufacturer in the world is in the orient...any magnets that are here in the US are still made there..so there's no point in even trying to buy a "USA made" magnet.
-
600 watts a sub you honestly don't need it. Standard SSD's are fine for you.

Should have all back orders cleared up
-
Which is why there are huge flashing red letters on the website that says the status on them. They were on back order..we haven't changed it because..that hasn't changed because we still do not have magnets. If you want me to change the date I can..but there's no point in that as they are in customs we should have them very soon. (If all goes well and they quit messing around) I can make a thread that says they are on back order...but not as many people go to the forum as they do the website. I made threads in here in the past about back orders that we have had and simply stopped doing it because people would not order the products while they were on back order. They would wait until the day would come and pass and then we would get 75 orders for them in 1 day with people thinking it's going to be 3-7 days before they get built..which isn't the case and why I don't do it anymore. When people didn't order them it simply messed everything up. They were thinking they were going to be able to spend the money and get them as soon as they come off back order according to the website and then they don't end up getting them for another couple months because we sell magnets faster then they can make them...which pissed more people off by far. If you don't get your place in line, then you don't get anything and have to wait 2-3 months. We're working on ways to not have to have back orders is the ideal situation...so it won't be needed. I also made you a thread..that says everything i've said here. When we know something..everybody does. Until then it is hurry up and wait.

i do realize that. lol but i wanted more power...i mainly wanna know if i have messed the speakers up or is it jsut me getting used to them...if both coils read fine does that mean nothing is wrong with the speaker? Pretty much for the most part..if you burned things up by clipping them the leads will create more resistance and it will eventually break. Hard to tell if you are just going deaf or if you broke something. When the subs quit working that means you broke them i honestly dont think im clipping that amp. lol but i mean they still play and what not. idk just sounds a little different. maybe its my truck fallin apart? lol my rearview has already fell off...lol so if i check the coils in ohms they should read around 1 ohm (dual 1 ohm vc) give or take...hopefully im not goin deaf. but id rather be goin deaf than it be the speakers..lol also do yal have any stronger recones? just out of curiousity..maybe more or stiffer spiders? No point in doing that.. If you are running into that it is because you are running way too much power and playing below tuning and wearing the spiders out They are how they are for a reason..we can stack more on a recone if you want, but isn't going to sound optimal by any means.

The MT recone is available on the website. It's the "ER TM" You can choose something that is similar to OEM..or you can beef things up a bit with integrated leads and an additional spider. That's totally up to you though. Whatever you do, do NOT order a BTL recone and think it is going to work in the MT. You must order the "ER TM" recone off of the website in order to get something that will work in it.
