Ballpark would be 175-190ish I can't remember what pattern the XXX has on it for the basket flange..I haven't had one of those motors in years. Could fire up an old hard drive and look at the drawing sometime.
-
No clue honestly
-
Nope.. Might be able to do something eventually when we get the 10x3" spiders in with the SMD frame. Can't use that basket or anything on them though. That's all RE stuff.

Same as any speaker with a small box.. It will be snappier, bottom end will suffer though.

Efficiency in and of itself is a joke. What nobody understands is great you can have an "efficient" amplifier (pure class A balls out vs. class D balls out is within 7% of each other efficiency wise) A 94.1dB 1w/1m speakers is only 1% efficient in converting electrical energy into acoustical energy. 99% of what you are putting into it is burned off as nothing but wasted heat...which is why cooling technology is so important.

We've had many people gain in SPL with the high xmax coil..if their setup actually uses excursion. Again, this thing is for music..why wouldn't you want the high xmax coil?
-
It's how the math works out The lower your DCR is (resistance is taken in series) the lower the BL will be.. Essentially they are in the same magnetic gap..it's just how the math works out on the length of wire on a given run. B is still there, L is what changes.

Sounds like you are clipping the piss out of it to me. Have you smelled coil? -

On your amplifier it should be low passed at around 70Hz or so.. -

Another thought.. How high is high? Where do you have your crossover set? -

Is your RCA and power wire ran on opposite sides? Turn the gain down and see what it does.. -
Glad to see some people are finally seeing the really cool aspect of the other coil...the concept of an adjustable Qts shoots over most people's mental capacity..especially when it involved another coil

You've got some interference in there some where..some how. Speakers just do what the amp tells them to do.. -
No..that's pipo's truck, and the paint is completely different. I've got a green hard body like his You never know when it might show up...just like everything else
-
You never know what we might do. ..and comparing it to a TSNS? how could one compare something to something that doesn't ever seem to come to light or exist? :ribjab:

Yes! No more annoying video Daddy like -
No It is a replacement from one that had a cracked magnet since we no longer use those diameter magnets any longer..so he got a black motor instead.

Honestly I think the N3 would have wayyyyyy too much motor strength to sound reasonable on music. It'd likely peak like a prom date.
-
I thought I did.. What was your email address?
-
They have to be run active too..there are no passive crossovers.
