Does it have alot of spider sag to it? If you look straight across the spider you can tell.That will change the reading of the coils No.. A coil has X feet of wire on it for a desired dcr. The only time you get added resistance is when you get a tinsel popping or a solder joint that is half melted from clipping the thing to death. Then why does the ohms change when you put pressure on the cone or set something light on it? Wouldn't that change what the amp see's as to a ohm load or doesn't it work like that? You are moving wire in a magnetic gap creating a field.

Definitely sorry about this one. It was up upstairs in our rafters as the guys thought it was already taken care of. We found the motor and it has to be baked and reassembled. Should go out on Monday.

No guarantee on how pretty the steel will look after the fact.. $45 bucks to repair the motor, whatever it is to ship it back to you if you want it reconed while its here as well.

No you do not need to order a basket..you are fine with the one you have. Order the recone I linked you to above.

post a picture of it.. If it looks like that then you can't do it. If it is the Venezuela 6 spoke basket, then select 4 spoke when ordering the recone if it is a old xxx.

Exachary

An adjustable 12dB/octave one is fine...one that is not adjustable is not...because you can turn the 12dB/octave one up a little more and get by with it peachy. I haven't had the time to start making filters yet..is on my to do list though.
