You should be fine with that amount of power.

Looks solid.

New box plan! *Criticism and opinions greatly appreciated*

Go with the 6" aero -
700-800 watts?
-
That's fine..the internal walls of the box only needs to be 14.250" You will still clear the basket..
-
We only do recones one day per week..we do not build them as soon as you order them. Yours will be built next week when we do recones..you just ordered it.
-
Been gone since last Thursday with world finals. Our office manager will not be back in town until Thursday (this week)

Can't build them until we have the steel to build them. So at the moment, no. Ballpark, I am not sure on. We're waiting on a phone call to find out when our forgings will be done...from there we will be able to make a concrete announcement.
-
European distro's killed the stock on our steel that we had for the bl's..which is what you should have been told when you got the phone call. When we know the date we will have it, we will then tell everybody either by phone..email..or on here. Until then I can't give you a concrete answer.

Focusing 100% of our energy on getting all of our new american steel parts and basket(s) rolling before we make another product available...as we are not importing raw materials any longer. Too many irons in the fire is a bad idea. When it's available..it'l be on the website. I am very gun shy on putting a date on anything at this point.

Only way you can tell with the soft parts and motor still on it is by looking in the holes in the basket.. You should see grooves in the top of the top plate.

there's much more then face value..those that know me know that I am incredibly witty.. it's called..irony

Nope coil would rub out.. Honestly man if it is a full cooling motor it probably does not have a SPL option.
-
A frequency response plot is somewhat useless in winisd. It can potentially give you a decent idea of how things might preform in a box versus b box.. It does however say the boxes we suggest are far from ideal on volume for a decent response curve..
-
Nope..I can't tell anything from that. Most full cooling motors are not SPL gapped anyhow. If you are buying them used from a guy..odds are you are going to have no issues because he has probably been playing music on them.
-
No.. It is axial machine grooves on the inside of the top plate and pole of the motor.. You can not see any of it with the sub together..
-
..it's a multiple package shipment, click the tracking number and the other one will drop down.
-
Most never had an SPL option if they had cooling.

calculator.. 1/8 = .125 it would be one eighth, not one quarter.

I've answered his questions 4 or 5 times via email now..and he keeps coming back with the same question of "I do not want to blow my coil".. I keep giving him the same answer as well.. If you blow it, it is because you did something wrong...I can't guarantee that you won't blow a speaker. Speakers are stupid, they only do what you tell them to do in the environment that you put them in. If you've blown stuff before..and put one of our speakers in that same scenario, odds are you are going to have issues. It is trying to tell you something is wrong.

That..isn't going to work out so well.

If you want to go fast..you have a ford..it isn't cheap though I'm itching to see the new 500ci top fuel engine for the pro mod car (same thing as the nitro cars, just runs on alcohol instead of nitro)

Totally understand that people get annoyed with a week here and a week there thing..which is why we are no longer dealing with purchasing raw materials from china. Our lead times used to be 60 days, 30 to make it, 30 to ship it. Our lead times for materials from china were topping 150 days and we called it quits...you can't function on something when you do not have it for half of a year. We are now in a shuffling period that we are dealing with and we are working on getting all of the bugs worked out. But again, we don't want to put exact dates on anything because doing ALL of this stuff here is totally new to us. I will say that our lead times here are SIGNIFICANTLY less, however we had to learn the entire process in how the foundry's machinery and everything works and how exactly they do things when we come up with new designs and how we do many things currently. It is just an adaptation period that will make everything much easier and accessible in the future. As Scott said before, we're working on moving all of the basket production to here as well, the 18" is first then others will follow suit accordingly. It takes time, when it is all said and done we will be one of the very few (if not only) people to be able to honestly say all of our parts and raw materials from our products comes out of the ground here and is manufactured here...in the states. Our pricing will go up a little bit within reason, but you must consider how cheap our pricing currently is (cheaper then most, the 179 dollar standard SSD 12 will probably go up 20 dollars but is still right on par for pricing for less of a woofer that is 100% imported including the packaging at 199 bucks) Pricing will still be on par with what you can purchase from somebody else who sources either an entirely imported product that is built overseas as well, or one that the motor and magnet assembly is done and pre charged and has the soft parts dropped in it here. A fan on our facebook page made me aware of this..which I found ultimately comical. -Nick http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/pages/Fi-Car-Audio/163751923651416
