You have..a 500 watt amp on it. It's not going to get loud with a 500 watt amp on it.
-
They do not have a copper option either, there is only 1 coil with the Q either D1 or D2. You can only do a partial BP cooling system on a older Q that does not have it..and it does not work as well as the full out BP.
-
I hope you go into the storage area more than once every few months. No reason to move those coils where they are We don't use xbl^2 any longer so those coils are at the bottom of the stack of coils in the very back of one of the warehouses.. Shoot me your zip code and I can figure out what shipping will be for you.

Don't want to do flatwinds in it, you're going to kill excursion and low end output.

Call the foundry and yell at them, you have to understand that we are at the mercy of our vendors..I can not make them pour baskets any faster when they are running behind. We forecast our shipments of materials based on what they give us as far as their lead times, when they get behind..they get behind which throws everything else out of whack. Unfortunately, we do not have our own foundry out back where we are melting down beer cans and making baskets ourselves. Your order is the first order to be built when we've got the baskets in, we had 20 IB3's done the other day and I figured yours was in those that we built..but it wasn't, it is the first one to be filled as soon as we get the baskets in. I can't control things that is outside of my control.

1000 watts is about it for that motor...but, you need to order the right recone for the right sub...other people have this idea that they can stuff BTL parts in anything and it automatically makes it a BTL..which could not be any more wrong. If that were the case I would buy every sub that walmart has out and stuff BTL parts in it and sell it for far more profit. You don't get more thermal power handling from putting a different soft part arrangement in a motor and just hood rig stuff together. There's a reason why the parts are set up how they are and why they are done how they are...you don't get big block parts to stick into a small block

You will see movement on yours tonight when UPS updates. No movement as yet :-( ? I thought yours was in the ones that would be going but it's not, yours is the first order to be completed when we get baskets in...which talking to the foundry is going to be delayed about 2 weeks as they are running behind on production.

well i think you gave it away when you said u were playin bass i love you... i know that track and it gets nasty lowww like what 17hz i swear couple spots its like 7hz I played that on a different subwoofer to test the box a few days ago. I picked a low song so I'd get lots of air movement and would be able to find a leak easily if one existed. You told me yourself that you guys can't even do that with your huge crown amps and the sub in free-air for hours on end. I hate to be a pain, but there's no way I did that in less than 3 seconds with hardly over 1000 watts (and not even getting close to giving it that much power with how low I was playing it), even if the box was leaky (I can find no leaks in it). You did something wrong dude, I'm going to stack a bunch of spiders on it to keep it from moving that far so hopefully you won't have a problem with it.. Here's a video of a BTL 12..wide open on the crown, look how much it moves. Your sub had to move to the point where the outside roll of the spider locks up, which is right before the neck joint and the inner roll of the spiders hits the bump in the top plate and goes "Clang".

Your label was just created the 9th..so you had to order around the beginning of the month. Standard build time is 5-15 business days (Monday-Friday) right now, when it ships...UPS will go from "billing information received" to "In transit" Everything has to be made and built.
-
You shouldn't need more suspension...that's plenty for that motor. You do understand that you are only hearing 1% of what you put into the sub right? Everything else is burned off as wasted heat energy...100 watts in, 99 watts heat, 1 watt is converted into acoustical output..

Spiders don't pop on the last roll on the very outside of the spider because of UPS... The cone has moved enough to where it hit the top of the spider landing as I told you on the phone, something is way wrong..some where. I've never had anybody pop the last roll on the outside of the spider, even with BTL's. The second and third are common for subsonic issues..but not the last one. It takes something really jacked up to pop that one.
-
Not a problem doing a recone for it then..I'm sure we've got the right coil for it and everything. I saw some a few months ago when i was up top in one of the storage areas.
-
Yeah, just couldn't remember what motor the 01 was..it's been a loooooooooooong time since i've messed with one of them. We might have one of those old coils floating around up top, what kind of impedance are you looking for?
-
UPS says it is in transit and has 2 business days left...resent everything to the [email protected] address...
-
Not sure how that would do in a tapped horn..those things are pretty tweaky when it comes to t/s parameters...

Ok, what is the name that it is being shipped to or the order number?
-
Don't remember which one that was exactly, got a picture? I feel certain we can recone it though.
-
Odds are if you don't have a tracking number by now the email address that you entered was incorrect then it wouldn't arrive to you, otherwise check your spam folder for an email from UPS Quantum View.

Makes it much easier for setting leads and cuts down on assembly time a TON.

How much power can the FI 15&18" BTL really handle?
NDMstang65 replied to KennethColeman's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
I do some email from home, and check the forums at around 5am..reply to whats needed to be replied to. When I get to the shop..at 7am, then I start to handle all of the other stuff from there because all of your information is on the office computer, not my laptop. -

NDMstang65 replied to KennethColeman's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
If you gotta ask.. Speakers do what you tell them to do, in the environment that you put them in..soooo if they burn up then you did something wrong. There's a reason why RMS is there -
The yellow spiders are very thin and do not effect the suspension as the black stiff spiders do. 2 of the yellow spiders stiffness wise is equal to 1 black stiff..so..we say it is 5 spiders. If you really want to get 'technical' it has "8"..because the yellow spiders are multiple layers.

..he's been taken care of..twice.
