yep...just specify what you want

Musically speaking the Q's would sound much better... But given you have a 9510 and seem to like it very much the BL's shouldn't be an issue with musical accuracy... I used to not be a huge fan of sealed boxes, but then again i was big into the spl stuff and sense then my musical tastes have changed... Tough call man, if you like the 9510 you should like the BL's ported fine.
-
so long as you calculated the volume right thats fine...
-
I'd do a single BL 15 personally.

Out of that batch i'd put the rockford up as top choice.

My new 18in BL...Review to Follow(Update Installed)
NDMstang65 replied to Grim's topic in General Fi
Nice! keep us updated! -
Didn't have to send me a PM to... .2-.6 cubic feet is fine, you'll be right at .45-.5 after displacements.
-
It's a generalization or a 'rule of thumb' to stay within these guidelines to get it to fit in your particular install. The sub will preform fine, given you stay within our guidelines and have a proper install.

your a freak of nature hush. havent had time to do sealed testing on the 15 yet...enough to draw a conclusion on a box volume anyhow

SSD Series: Available options and what they do: Flatwound coil (+$20) – The flatwire coil option simply helps the power handling of the sub. The coil has more surface area to dissipate heat and will take more power then the regular round wire coil that comes in the ‘stock’ version of the sub. This option will also make the sub tend to be more prone to ‘peaking’ for a budget daily driving sub where you don’t have to use a ton of power to get maximum output and sacrifice sound quality a little bit. Copper coil (now standard) – The copper coil is a heavier coil and adds mass to the moving assembly. In comparison to the stock coil, or the flatwound coil, this has the smoothest transitions musically speaking. It is less likely to peak, and is a better overall sub for more Sound Quality based daily drivers. This coil is now STANDARD on the SSD. BP Power - This option adds a machined aluminum compression plug to the pole which helps channel all of the air under the dustcap around the coil for better cooling. To aid with this increased airflow we also add 6 axial cooling channels in the top plate. Along with increased thermal capacity comes the addition of an extra spider and a changed spider pack. All of these features increase power handling from 200-500 Watts depending on the application. Enclosures: SSD 10 – We recommend using a sealed box in the neighborhood of .2-.6 cubic feet of volume (after all displacements for those wondering). Ported box we recommend using .9-1.5 cubic feet @ 33Hz (this is optimal in our eyes and to our ears, you can tune 31-35hz fine if you so please) SSD 12 – We recommend using a sealed box in the neighborhood of .8-1.6 cubic feet of volume (after all displacements for those wondering). I personally recommend 1.1 cubic feet of volume for the copper coil option SSD. Ported box we recommend using 1.8-2.5 cubic feet @ 33Hz (this is optimal in our eyes and to our ears, you can tune 31-35hz fine if you so please) SSD 15 – Ported box we recommend using 3-4 cubic feet @ 33Hz (this is optimal in our eyes and to our ears, you can tune 31-35hz fine if you so please) We are currently doing testing for sealed boxes, and I will post information if we think that it is ok to use sealed. Otherwise at this point stick to a ported enclosure. SSD18 - Ported box we recommend using 6-10 cubic feet @ 33Hz (this is optimal in our eyes and to our ears, you can tune 31-35hz fine if you so please) We are currently doing testing for sealed boxes, and I will post information if we think that it is ok to use sealed. Otherwise at this point stick to a ported enclosure. Pictures and cut sheets for some enclosures coming soon as i get time to re-do the forum again. Here's a fairly in depth review of the SSD: http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...?showtopic=7157 New SSD Options http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...?showtopic=8161

Aaron moved them...if you click the stick section the reviews for each sub is in there.

UPS gets the original billing information... say its on Friday March 2nd (Your sub has not been put into production yet for example, but UPS has assigned a tracking number for your order, it has not left yet) they estimate when the package will get to you on a certain day... 3-5 day build time...then when they pick the package up the shipping information is updated and the expected delivery date is scheduled/rescheduled.

If you want to use it in a stereo type scenario, you could simply get the dual 2ohm coils and wire it at a 4ohm nominal load per channel... Shoot me an email [email protected] I'll explain the ordering process for the HT/IB stuff, we do it a little different because we like seeing different things done especially in HT use. Thanks -Nick

Scott's slammed busy with the emails. I'm not totally familiar with that amp, but a good rule of thumb for power in IB is 6-800 watts per sub, no more is needed.

10" SSD Application Specific SPL Advice Question
NDMstang65 replied to cougarballa2k5's topic in General Fi
in general people don't buy ssd 10's to throw up spl numbers and no it wont take a 20.1...too much power -
There are holes in the basket...run your finger along the bottom and poke a hole through the holes in the basket with a small screwdriver... (Yes it will go through the edge of the flat part of the surround where it glues to the basket, this is normal, you are supposed to do that)
-
if you use 3/4" wood that will work fine...its like 1.24 cubic feet of volume, the sub will take up .14 or so...you'll be dead on
-
we found a solution for a Q 10...so yes they are available
-
i'd still do it for future upgrades....definitely if you use them for daily driving
