Well in that case why not fire the sub(s) up and port back? Side firing really isnt optimal for daily driving, it may turn better numbers though.
-
Umm...most jeeps i fooled with (hardbody's) typically like port and sub both firing back..but that was in meca outlaw spl as well.. I wouldn't fool with side firing...only thing that is going to accomplish is your quarterpanel vibrating
-
Are you talking a fart box? Its a good possibilty. Daily driving..i wouldn't side fire it.
-
Doesn't have to be, but you would probably get better results if you did seal it off...
-
Mike's = bright ass cheater green with JBL/Fi logo's on it...i think Carlos' van is still purple....Step Harris will probably be down there as well (bunch of ssd 12's) in a Pure Pressure van. Just look around for the shirts..you'll either run into Scott, Shawn, Paul, or myself.
-
I'd fire port and sub forward into the car if the seats fold down.
-
Sweet! Stop by..we'll be around the bass race vehicles and/or Mike's van...or possibly Carlos' van as well.
-
What type of vehicle is it going in?
-
Advantages...no clue..ball park price of ~100 dollars. Honestly, you'd be better off getting a re-cone from DD...they seem to hold their value on the forums at least much better when they aren't a 'hybrid' woofer.
-
Not an issue...terminal broke off of the basket...
-
Fs drops when the suspension breaks in. BL will be fine...Fs isn't that important...tune it to 32hz and let it eat, it'l be fine . Let him build the box, let the sub break in...
-
No clue, only way to really know is test it .
-
I dont think so, i'm pretty sure that amp is designed for 2ohm daily useage
-
The BL has more potential to be louder than the Q... If your going for SPL numbers its mainly on you piddling with various box designs for your vehicle.
-
I think it is called the Ocean Center... http://www.springbreaknationals.com

Can't change them, you would have more money in them because the motors would have to be baked and disassembled plus shipping both ways plus re-coning both of the woofers. You'd be better off selling them (if you have a problem with the coil scrubbing) and buying the daily driving ones. Run them and see what happens..just be careful, you stand a really good chance at scrubbing the coil up.
-
The gap is significantly tighter in the SPL motors...he stands a good chance of rubbing the coil if listening to music.

15" Q should fit the bill nicely as others have said. Thanks
-
If quizzes are quizzical, then what are tests?!
-
Glad we could help ya out, hope you enjoy the sub!
