That's totally dependent upon the application itself...a speaker isn't going to dictate whether it 'always' does 'better' spl or not.

Too many people don't understand the concept of what a subsonic filter is..so we did a newer smaller diameter spider that mounts lower on the former and doesn't hit the tinsels and it still moves just as far. (the IB3 18 has been done like this for years and the people who run them are FAR more meticulous then the car audio crowd, they would be the first to complain if it were a problem with "lead slap") It simply works fine, personally I prefer the external leads because it leaves more room for 'oops' factor. Also, the cost on the lead carrying spiders has went up 4x in recent months..we ate it until we came up with a solid solution that we are happy with and works well.

Personally I prefer the new leads, they are not tied down to the spiders. We developed a new spider that is smaller in diameter and has just as much throw which fixes the "lead slap" issues and it simply works better.. It leaves greater margin for error than the flat leads do as it seems like every 5 minutes we have to tell somebody about what a subsonic filter is.

ps: (that's at the sticky section at the top of this forum)

Might want to check your tracking numbers that was emailed to you from UPS Quantum View at the hart "at" srt.com email address. If that is not the correct email address, sorry that is the one that you filled out upon placing your order. They are scheduled to be delivered to you on 11/29. (check UPS.com) 1zx7497y0343002324 We do not have a phone simply because if we spend 10 hours a day on a phone answering questions that are clearly spelled out on the website..and here..and the youtube videos and in the tech section..we would get nothing done. Aside from that, we would have to hire 5 people to sit here and answer the phone all day long and put them on suicide and keep sharp objects away from them because they would try to kill themselves after repeating themselves hundreds of times per day . Also, your cost on every speaker would go up 50-100 dollars to cover those peoples salaries for absolutely no benefit at all what so ever to the product. It is simply dead overhead cost that has to be absorbed by the consumer.

Power handling for a 12in re se sub/12 spoke basket?
NDMstang65 replied to jr711's topic in Fi Products
thermal power handling comes from cooling technology inside of the motor..in which those have none so it isn't going to change much if any at all -
You should have had that a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time ago. I'm assuming you do not have it?
-
You can if you want..it's not going to make a huge difference because you have no axial cooling vents inside of the motor.. You might be better off reconing them, selling them as 'new' subs with fresh recones and picking up SSD's. They're leaps and bounds ahead of the SX
-
You don't have to do a BP option. Common chamber is fine.
-
Should be fine...around .6 per sub ported is about as small as you should go
-
20-80Hz is what you can expect...but there is no replacement for displacement, they are not a really high excursion woofer For what you are wanting to do, it should be fine. If it isn't enough output you can always port them with a 4" aeroport.

I've tried emailing you multiple times but it keeps kicking it back... Hi. This is the qmail-send program at mail.com. I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses. This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out. <[email protected]>:

..amount of power applied should correlate with box size..bigger doesn't always mean better or louder..
-
It's not going to be a huge difference in performance as far as thermal power handling...mechanically it can be beefed up a little more.

Got money, need a quote for a 15" BTL N2 D1

Supposed to have magnets in on Tuesday for those. All the parts are waiting for them to arrive -

You don't need any, it does not have a pole vent.
-
Just gotta have twice the cone area..so you will have to build a box with 3 mounting holes in it, 2 for the PR's and 1 for the sub.

Before diesel went to 4 bucks a gallon 3-4 years ago.. Even then we lowered the prices and you pay the actual shipping to you. Our cost keeps going up..and up..and up..and up. We have to wiggle a little here and there. It's still cheaper then all the stuff that is totally imported here..and still cheaper then the stuff that has soft parts dropped in here.. I'm not sure why the coding is doing that on the website for the BL though, that is weird.

Birthsheet = retarded They are unrealistic. ive clamped 7116 watts with my 2 2500bdCP's strapped... but yeah i hear you on the birthsheet deal ive heard that there just randomly generated numbers Whoever told you that is a moron, they actually bench test every amp. they do that to make you feel better about what you just bought...same deal with kicker..they don't test every one, a few out of the batch, average it..and vary it by a few watts here and there and hit :print:

Somebody has dropped that thing in the box and busted the terminal off of it.. Those need to be soldered through the terminal.
-
The former is longer..not the wire. It does not have another inch and a half of more excursion... It's a Mayhem with the SMD style basket and spider reduction ring to use 8" spiders. It does have better rock ratio and cone control though due to the added depth

God tell me about it..i got a few new tracks last week.
