i missed the fun apparently, let me guess, ecoustics?

Hope he plans on spending a PILE of money on an electrical system to power them... He does realize he's going to need in the neighborhood of 2500 watts a sub right?

not a snowballs chance in hell that amp will do 6kw the hk-4000's wouldn't even do that
-
Doesn't say how big the port is...(square inches)
-
Well, no clue about street cars. Extreme we make one really long, test test test test posisition, temperature etc etc. Cut a inch off, repeat process

Shawn's been busy with his other job as well have i both of us have been putting 60++ hour weeks in there. Email me, let me know what you need help with, or post here.

zomg ima hit 1000

some bitch this thing has rules?!

Good luck Theoretically...a 8th order would yield the largest peak.. Regardless it takes tons of time, testing and building to figure out what works best...
-
Looks ok to me.

with 1kw per sub, i'd recommend going with the Q's as well...bl's tend to like more power
-
Stock Q will be fine off of that amp.
-
Should ideally be set to 0 as well, and adjust your gain accordingly... A good general rule of thumb is if you have to go more then half way with a gain to equal out your line voltage on your RCA's, then you don't have enough amplifier to power the speaker that you are trying to power. There's nothing wrong with the 'cheaper' amps, you just have to be careful with them.
-
Q has more linear output and will sound better... The BL will be more prone to peaking, not sound as good as the Q, but would likely be louder on the meter. Mechanically speaking the Q is better suited for 1000 watts.
-
If your looking for more of a musical application a Q should be more then enough... If your more into competing/farting/burping then just a standard BL would be more then fine
-
You should only need one 3" aero... 2 would be too much
-
If your sensable about it, sure. If you get retarded with the gain and/or volume knob bad things can and will happen.

no clue man, what questions do you have?

I took the motor that we used in the 12 challenge to him, we cut it and rebuilt it into a 18 . Glad we could help man, still uncertain if i'm going to make the wedding or not at this point. -Nick
