pair of bl 18"s in trunk?

Are you sure you have enough volume to do 2 ported 18's in a trunk? Thanks -Nick

    1 15" Q + Sundown 1500D = OK?

That amp is very powerful, i'd highly suggest that you get the option and still be careful with it. Thanks -Nick

    What to get?

Depends on how much room you have to work with really...(cubic feet volume) That amp should do an honest 1600 watts or so... Thanks -Nick

    SSD 15" with MTX amp

A stock SSD should be fine...you'll have impedance rise and what not as well.... Thanks -Nick

Will there ever be an Fi 8" driver?

The Ascendant line will/does have an 8... As of right now we're not going to do one in the very near future...but off in the distance just about anything is a possibility . Thanks -Nick

    RE MX vs BTL

Totally different subs... About as similar as a pear and a watermelon.. Thanks -Nick

Scott (and the rest of FI), you're the man!

Keep us updated! We love to hear feedback! Thanks -Nick

18SSD a present for my brother

So long as he's careful he should be fine with that amount of power... However you may want to entertain the flatwire coil option, that would definitely keep him in the clear. Are you sure there is enough room to get a box as big as the SSD18 requires in and out of a trunk? Thanks -Nick

    SSD SEALED

2 cubes sealed for the 15 works in Tom's truck, however it may not work in your application... We generally don't recommend running the 15's and 18's sealed. Thanks -Nick

    BL or BTL

I'd probably do the BL's personally. Thanks -Nick

MTX or Kicker to power Fi Q?

The ZX1000.1 does about 1200 watts...that's all you should need honestly, you'll have to be careful with the 1500...that's a stout amp if you choose it. The subsonic filter is pretty much useless unless you are throwing down in a higher tuned ported enclosure, you really don't need one for a sealed enclosure. Also there isn't much music these days that goes down "that low" to need one... There are no differences in the dual 1 and dual 2 "SQ" Hope that helps Thanks! -Nick

Hey Scott, I need Le, Z, Pe for my 15" FI BL

Shouldn't need it really, only thing BBP is going to do is predict output curves that really don't relate to a car scenario... Stick within the guidelines that we've set in the technical section and you should be good to go for enclosures. Thanks -Nick

    question about recone kits

You should get shims in the kit, just a piece of plastic that goes between the coil former and the pole piece to center the coil in the gap. If they aren't in there you can always use a minilla folder, just make sure when you use it that you use the same number of layers and they don't overlap, otherwise you will get the coil rocked off to one side of the gap. Hope that helps! Thanks! -Nick

Who do I speak to about production?

Sounds good man, let me know if you need anything else. Thanks! -Nick

    Amp questions

Exactly, if you plan on running 1 amp per subwoofer you need to choose the dual 2ohm option and wire the coils in parallel for a final 1ohm nominal load per amp. Let us know if you need anymore help! Thanks! -Nick

    12" BTL

Quite a few people run the 12's, however they aren't as popular as the 15's and 18's.... Thanks -Nick

    Regular Cab sub options

Sounds like you have plenty of volume for a 12, however my main concern with this scenario is how much mounting depth you have to work with? Thanks -Nick

    Sealed or Ported

Yeah, sealed will probably be the way to go for you. You may beable to get creative later and shoehorn a ported enclosure in there. But if your going for ease of use and practicality at this point you may just want to go sealed. Thanks -Nick

    Sealed or Ported

..As well as how much room you are willing to give up.... Thanks -Nick

    15" Loaded BTL box

Aero's are different, for a 15 you honestly should not need more then 3 3" aero's, possibly 2 4" aero's or a single 6" aero would be adequate... Thanks -Nick
  22. NDMstang65

BL 12inch sub aero port length?

No need for 2 4" aero's, 1 should be fine, what are you wanting to tune it to? Thanks! -Nick
  23. NDMstang65

    More port area = Better??

That's not a conventional ported box either...that's more of a messed up transmission line type deal... Should be ok, although i know nothing of their enclosures. Thanks -Nick

    Amp questions

Amps should be fine... Thanks -Nick
