The port is a little on the large side....what are you trying to tune it to? Thanks -Nick
-
Gotta retune and test man...they are going to peak different than MT's will...

Are you talking about the white van with the ssd's and the kicker amps in a pac man style box? -
Ok.. Take a 9 volt battery and 'pop' test the coils. Use the piece of speaker wire that is coming out to your amp from the sub and connect the - side to the - side of the battery, take the + side of the wire and 'pop' it on positive side of the battery. If it moves out the coils are in phase and it is wired right and works, which would mean you have an amp issue... If you get ahold of a DVOM the resistance should be .7 ohms per coil, or 1.4-1.5 ohms with the pair of coils in series. Let me know. Thanks! -Nick

some comments or advice on my planned set-up please

No need for the extreme leads, the only reason you need that is for a strictly SPL woofer... Other then that i believe you are going in the right direction...if you have more questions feel free to ask. Thanks! -Nick -
almond pretty much hit it on the head... SE is a touch below the SSD series...the SX is between the SSD and Q...if your wanting to be comparative.. Thanks! -Nick

Well more spiders help give the moving assembly more control under higher power handling. Which is dictated by the Vas in liters of the woofer. (Which is how much force it takes to move the cone) Stiffer spiders = more liters of air required to move the sub, and it's more mechanically sound for higher power handling... Softer/less spiders = less liters of air required to move the soft part assembly of the sub, less mechanically sound, and handles less power mechanically speaking... Hope that helps Thanks! -Nick

Shawn has pretty much been MIA with working so many hours... A recone is $80 + shipping (standard recone), the flatwire coil is $20 extra if it has that... Thanks -Nick
-
You also have to realize that your RMS power goes down significantly when running IB... Thanks! -Nick
-
Post them here... Thanks! -Nick

Need some dimensions to work with....(height, width, depth, vehicle going in, purpose of it either street bass/listening or spl) Thanks! -Nick

Which BTL/options do you have? Yes the frequency will change, and you will have to re-tune your enclosure to get where you were at...you can't just expect to flop different subs in the holes and gain/be where you were before you started. Thanks! -Nick

yeah, crazy how people would want to know about there woofer, isnt it No...he wants to know every single woofer Seeing as how we change things up depending upon the scenario that the woofer is going in...it's hard to answer. Generally speaking 2 spiders on ssd/q, 3 on bl's, and 4 on btl's ...but then again there are different combinations of soft/stiff spiders that are used depending upon the scenario
-
There's a big difference from 7800 watts and 3700 watts....
-
Not sure why you'd need to know... It's a different combination of stiff and soft spiders depending on the scenario of the end user on each sub.... Thanks -Nick

2" is wayyyyyyy too narrow. Generally speaking you want to keep at least 3" for a slot port...anything below that and you will run into some serious noise issues... Thats going to knock you down to 42sq inches of port as well.. How much volume do you have? Thanks -Nick
-
What was the recone for and where was it supposed to be going to?
-
Don't need to make a topic in every forum man, when did you order the recone and when did it ship? Generally its 5-6 days shipping via ups to florida, and 3-4 days shipping via usps...
-
Try it and see what it sounds like, modeling things like that really are not that accurate to a real world in car scenario... Thanks -Nick
-
Looks good man! Keep us updated on the long term! Thanks -Nick

BL's are for a ported enclosure only (you can check out the sticky section in the technical board and read up on all of the info there)... ~1000-1500 watts and you are in good shape for a BL, and with having a blazer you have plenty of room to work with... Thanks -Nick
-
Can't do that because there are literally thousands of motors out there, some/many of which are chinese and use a "3 inch" coil that really isn't American standard 3"... Just ask, we'll tell you. If we don't know then you can send it in. Thanks -Nick
-
What kind of room and how much power do you have to work with? Thanks! -Nick
-
Welcome to the board! How much power are you planning on running? Keep in mind when running 2000+ watt amps your electrical system on your vehicle could need some serious upgrades, which you should take into account when you choose what series of woofers and how much power you are wanting to run. Thanks! -Nick

The Q should be the route to go...are you looking into a sealed or ported enclosure? Thanks -Nick
