2002 Caddy on bagz...8 Fi BTL 18's, 2 RF T15k amps (new vid pg 31)
NDMstang65 replied to meade916's topic in General Fi
No shit?! Dude, it was nuts before... If i make it out west this summer i've GOT to hear it I had no idea you were doing 2 of the amps! -
Dual 2 is fine...waiting on Scotts email, i combined a ton of recones into one... I think yours was in there, if not he should see this when he gets on here tonight. Thanks -Nick
-
Might work fine, odds are it's going to roll off pretty quickly on the 'upper end' around 60Hz or so... The low end should be retarded though . Thanks! -Nick
-
If you have deep pockets, whatever you want can be made. It all depends on how much money you want to spend .

:edited: Crap..saw your zipcode, never mind. Should have you a quote this evening. Thanks! -Nick

Awesome man! How do you like the subs so far?
-
That's tuned a little low...i guess you could try it and see what it does. I've personally never tuned one that low. Thanks -Nick
-
How much power and how much room do you have to work with? Thanks! -Nick
-
Honestly, with a properly designed suspension...it won't matter how you mount it. Thanks -Nick

Can't wait to see how those 4 3100's work with that amp! -
Nope that's just a recone kit for a XXX...what impedance coil are you wanting? (assuming probably a dual 1.4) I'll get you a quote shipped tomorrow. Thanks -Nick
-
BL's will be more likely to peak than the Q's and should be louder... ~1500 watts tends to be optimal for "loaded" BL's... Thanks -Nick
-
$85 plus whatever shipping is to you. Thanks! -Nick

ok to combine 1 bl with extreme leads and one without?
NDMstang65 replied to George's topic in Fi Technical
Only way to minimize it is to not have them . All i can tell you to do is hook it up and listen, if you don't hear it then your good to go. Thanks -Nick -
They are going to get soft after running them for a while... If it becomes an issue then it should be covered under warranty Post a picture if you get a chance. Thanks -Nick

No...the tinsels go all the way through the cone and are buried under glue next to the coil/neck joint... You can't trim them down....there's actually strands of wire that goes through the outside layer -

Lookin' good brother! -
When you kill it, that's too much. Honestly man that's 100% install dependent. We've had people run tons of power on burps with no issues. We stick to our guns with 2kw rms, if you find it can take more and is louder with more power then that's great. However, we won't say that it will take it, simply because we do not know the install and the scenario in which the sub is in... Thanks! -Nick

I would say 2 of the kinetik 2400's or 2 of the Powermaster 2400's would probably cover you, in addition to your alt and wiring upgrades. Thanks -Nick
-
Should be able to have you a quote on Monday, unless Scott sees this before hand this weekend. Thanks -Nick

Sorry man... If you have paypal the email there is Sales"at"ficaraudio.com When you do that, include all of your shipping information, Name, Address, Phone number, Email. Exactly which woofer you want (Including all options, coil impedance, size etc.) I just got the email yesterday morning saying that you wanted to order one, so i forwarded it over to Scott around 3pm which is how he got in contact with you last night. Sorry about that, we're working on getting things more streamlined with some new software so things can't fall through the cracks. Thanks! -Nick

That's pretty much it... Thanks -Nick -
Doubt very seriously if you have room for a 18" sub in your trunk... With that said a 15 would be pushing it as is. Thanks -Nick

32mm You don't want to tune a xxx to 40hz...the more of your posts i read the more i think you really have the wrong sub for what you are wanting to do... The XXX is not an SPL sub, quite the contrary actually...and shouldn't be tuned any higher then 33hz for any reason. It's made to listen to, loudly, and cleanly. Thanks -Nick
