Pro all the way! Awesome stuff

Sure send it in, just make sure you put all of your information in the box when you send it. Name, address, phone number, and email. Thanks! -Nick
-
That's a first..post some pics of it. How much power were you running to the thing?
-
Sounds like a burnt coil to me, you'll need a recone to get back running again. Warranty does not cover burned coils...what's your zip code and i can give you a shipped price on one. Thanks! -Nick

Lookin' good man! -
Sounds like you clipped it and burned the coil up. Take it out of the enclosure and make sure that it is indeed dead and verify the resistance of the coils with a digital volt ohm meter, we can get you a recone out and get you back running again...burned coils are not covered in the warranty though, sorry. Keep us posted Thanks! -Nick

Whats your email address? I've got a new sea of emails from over the weekend that i haven't replied to yet...but if you sent it then it might have gotten kicked in my spam folder...or i may have replied to it already not knowing. Let me know and i'll get you taken care of asap. Thanks! -Nick

The volume the port itself takes up, i'm not quite sure how that calculator works, as i've never used it. But if you take a port that is 10" tall, 4" wide, and 10" deep, it has a volumetric displacement of .23 cubic feet (10 x 10 x 4 divided by 1728) Thanks! -Nick

just hooked up my fi q to jl 1000.1 need tuning help
NDMstang65 replied to iocca's topic in Fi Technical
Seems like you may have a leak somewhere to me. I'm not familiar with those amps at all, however it should not be 'slapping' or sounding like 'poo' . Generally speaking people who have issues like you describe either have crossovers wide open on the amps, and/or a leaky sealed box. Is it a prefab or is it one that you built/had somebody else build? Thanks! -Nick -
What's your zip code? A SSD 12 with the flatwind recone is 85+ shipping to where ever you are located. Generally speaking within the lower 48 its 10-15 bucks to ship it to you. Thanks! -Nick
-
Definitely a tuning issue, as Scott said how are things oriented in the trunk? If you've got a digital camera snap a pic and post it up. We'll get it figured out one way or another Thanks! -Nick
-
I would put the port along the bottom of the enclosure if i were you. Definitely need to brace the port well so it does not flap/vibrate. There really is no strength advantage either way...you'll have to brace it the same on the top as you would the bottom. Thanks! -Nick
-
Would that be before or after your port displacement? Thanks! -Nick
-
Yes take your digital volt ohm meter and let us know what the coils are reading at rest...then we'll go from there. Thanks! -Nick
-

Probably still trying to turn the volume up too much to compensate for the lack of power that they need...should have gone with SSD's with those amps...
-
