    approaching 2 months

Not us man, the only thing we have are the shipping documents that says that it cleared customs. Unless the post office is willing to finally admit that they are lost and for us to file a claim there's not much that we can do. Problem will be solved from now on, we will not use the post office for canadian orders. They've lost way too many subs and way too many problems have been had...Canadian people are just going to have to pay the fees to UPS.

Using FI IB 15" in Econoline Van

I wouldn't do it, the output of an IB install for a typical car audio environment simply isn't enough.. I wouldn't try to put it in a sealed box....

best way to draw cutout for 18" FI Q????

Router jig...or a pencil and a string Don't do cut out patterns, because most everybody that buys our woofers can figure out how to draw a circle 16.75" in diameter ...and has had woofers before. Welcome to the world of "DIY"..where you do it yourself.

    Checking on my BTL

Chill out man, you know the top plate was torn all to pieces and had to be re-machined. When you get metal near a magnet it turns into a mess...that mess takes time to clean out unless you want a coil that is shorted as soon as you hook it up. I've been out of town since Friday, just posting on my cell phone when needed. I'm now back to my laptop and a stable internet connection. Prior to this I was working 16 hours a day and away from internet..needless to say i've got a little over 200 emails to sift through. Sub is done, haven't spoken with Scott today but I know it will go out this week.

    Dual 2's

Because that's how they are, always been like that. dual 1.4's is the industry standard...been making coils like that for years. .5ohm on that amp is not safe by anymeans anyways, your looking at a smoke show regardless.

    Fi BTL 18 T/s parameters

So there were no improvements or changes made then? Well thats a relief No, if there were no improvements or changes made then we would not have came out with the new BTL. We're not going to release a new product and spend more money on tooling to get away from the 3 slug motor if there was not a difference. The enclosure recommendations did not change, and will not change, as there is no re-invention of the wheel here. If you notice all of our enclosure recommendations are fairly similar through out the product lineup in regards to frame size. The tolerances that we give you is what we feel is best for a daily driving scenario for our speakers. If you feel the need to be a number junkie about things, sorry. If you'll model the BTL in a box program (Parameters will be up next week) it will tell you to put it in a sealed enclosure at about 11 cubic feet to get a +/- 3dB through the spectrum of interest. This is not the case and all box programs are wrong. The woofer will NOT work in a sealed enclosure to its full potential, sorry. Sorry if you feel that way Phil, only thing I can tell you is do what every single other person has done with our products and follow our recommendations. It's not rocket science and it is not hard to follow. Everybody else has had zero issues with following the guidelines that we have put up, I still do not see why you HAVE to have them to make a box. (as well as every single dimension of the woofer, that to this day still baffles me, in the many years i've been building boxes and fabricating things i have yet to need all the dimensions that you require to build an enclosure) We set the guidelines for a reason, because it is works best for a daily scenario, regardless of what your mind and box program might say/think. Parameters will be up next week sometime... Thanks -Nick

    BTL Slug Weight and Manufacturing

Not giving that info out, sorry. Know that it's in the ballpark of 70lbs and the majority of which is motor related.

Not enough output on rock music?

Most of the time it is the recording, it's not the sub. Subs are dumb, they do what they are told to do by the amp...and the amp gets the signal from the cd player.. What kind of mids and tweet(s) are you running?

    Crossfire XT recone

Your call, if it's easier for you to wait then that is best. Just so happens if a UPS claim would come into the equation if I were you I would probably wait. Granted we've only had 1 package get destroyed in a little over 2 years, but anything is possible I guess... Your call man. I need to find the weight out, forgot when I talked to Scott earlier today.
