Yeah Kyle I'm pressing charges on him too. Wanna go for a class action suit?

I'm posting here because it's the only place I'm sure you'll see it. Troy I paid for my 4.3 blazer bracket on January 24. Prior to this all emails were answered with prompt replies. Here is the one after my payment: "I'm hoping to have the final prototype tested this week. As long as it checks out good I will have a few made up within 2-3 weeks, another few days to powder coat, and it will be in the mail. Thanks again, I will shoot over a few pics when I'm test fitting. Troy " It's now April. I have sent MULTIPLE emails over the last few weeks and have got nothing. I haven't received pictures. I haven't received updates. I certainly haven't received my bracket. Could you please refund my money? I'm tired of waiting.

Yeah let's not start slinging crap at each other. None of us are perfect. The fact of the matter is troy (tejcurrent) is a pond scum scammer. He took my $250.00 and ran in January and has lied about it ever since. Learn from my mistake and simply do not do business with him.

im on my phone so im sorry about the huge run on sentence. troy said 5-7 business days but it doesnt matter that still passed. he has held my money for over 6 months and not delivered a product. case law in north carolina maintains that he owes me my money with interest at the standard rate at the time of the "purchase". i wish he hadnt let it come to this but he had plenty of time to make it right. he has now scammed me and it will be up to the authorities.
-
i asked for my refund july 20 troy responded that he would refund in 5-7 days as usual that time came and went i will be contacting his local authorities as he has scammed me. beware of tejcurrent

I guess it's hard for me to understand why it would matter what color it was. If it sticks and it's on the panel, does a silverry foil release magical vibration killing nimphs? I know I sound like a a-hole here. I'm really only joking but it's hard for me to comprehend why there would be confusion.

It's been about a month. Anyone heard of any updates? Is this coming true?
-
I'm still watching my front step every day. I just haven't bumped the thread because I didn't want to get attacked by nuthuggers again who think I should just go without my money and my bracket and stfu about it. HAHAHA
-
I asked for my money back and he didn't give it to me. He gave me an excuse. He told me 2 more weeks but said it openly in this thread. I thought well, if he's going to make the statement in public, maybe THIS time he'll keep his word. He didn't. I don't have my bracket that I paid for or my refund that I asked for. You ride this guy's nuts all you want, but it's been since january. He has made promise after promise and thus far he has broken them all. He may be a great guy, but he's had my money for 5 months and I've got nothing but emails at the start in return. That's not what I paid for. Don't come in here acting like we shouldn't speak out. He stopped replying to my emails. I don't email him all the time. He tells me 2 weeks. I wait a month and a half and then email. Wait 2 weeks and still no reply. That happens a couple of times and I start this thread hoping that public attention will get something done. It doesn't. All it does is get a couple nut huggers in here to get his back. Well guys you just look foolish. If he doesn't come up with the brackets he doesn't deserve your nut huggery. I wasn't even being nasty about this. I was trying to be nice. You guys aren't helping his cause. You're just going to make all of us who have paid and been told we would have our brackets MONTHS AGO even madder and more vocal and bring more attention to this, which I'm sure your pal doesn't want. I'd say if you want to help him, you just quit being keyboard toughguys. Realize your homeboy needs to take SOME sort of action and just stfu.

What happened? Did you get your money back? This whole "2 more weeks" thing is maddening. Clearly none of us are ever going to get our brackets. Troy please refund my money so I can get a bracket from Mechman.
-
I look for mine by my door every day. Every day it's not there. I don't think it even exists yet. Troy, if you're not going to do it just send our money back. This is beyond ridiculous.
-
Mine hasn't showed. I figured you all got yours by now and I was the only one.
-
Has anyone's shown up yet? It's been a little over two weeks now. They should start showing up on doorsteps any time.
-
If my bracket will really be here in 2 weeks I am cool with that, but if it's not here in 2 weeks I really need a refund. I've got to have a bracket.
-
Exactly. If the guy hit hard times fine... I'm not faulting him for that, but send our money back so we can get what we need elsewhere. Whether he responds to the emails or not, it doesn't make up for him telling us one thing but doing another. It's PAST time for action.
-
I don't know what the story is. I've seen his brackets and they look great... but I'm at the point I NEED it. Well I needed it for SBN, but I got by without it... but now I REALLY need it. He isn't responding to the myriad of emails I've sent him, and I know they are popping up on his blackberry. I too have a blackberry and I know how it works. He's just not replying and it's probably because there is no progress made to this point. If he were to say "I'll send it out tomorrow" and give me a tracking number I wouldn't want the refund, but we all know that isn't going to happen. We're not getting these brackets any time soon, and I've got to have it soon, so I'm afraid I need my money back so I can get one elsewhere.

No that's just a sloppy glue job.

trying to set amplifier gains
eCrack replied to Third Eye Vision's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Definitely make sure you have it set on VAC. Next, if you have a subwoofer level control, turn it up to where you normally run it at. You don't want to set your gain at a lower setting only to turn that setting up while listening. Then you are putting out much more than what you had planned. The reason they say to disable EQ options is because if you set the gain with a frequency that is boosted by the eq, all other frequencies will lack power. The subwoofer level control is exempt from this rule. -
I think so.. my theory is the PDX wasnt putting that much of a strain on my little 78 amp alt so it was able to give it more of a steady legit power but with my AQ2200 its squeezing the shit out of my alt therefore the AQ doesnt have that steady power (voltmeter dances when its playing) sooo maybe/hopefully when im at a steady voltage ill get more of an output. Thats just a theory though.. If that is the case, you will actually get louder by turning your gain down. Forcing your amp to put out a dirty signal is hard on the equipment and as such performance suffers. Back the gain off a little. I think you'll be glad you did until you can make your charging system a little more robust.

Oh ok. I must have misunderstood. I could have sworn he said the spoiler was beneficial "when the system wasn't in". I took that to mean sometimes it was when racing and other times it wasn't. Thanks for clearing that up. Also, I have never raced so I didn't realize better handling was more beneficial than acceleration because I thought better acceleration would allow the driver to brake more and make the turn and then make up for the lost velocity with superior acceleration. I see your point though. I'd much rather not have to brake as much as everyone else causing wrecks and pileups and damaging my car. I wonder though, if a few vibrations could knock the mount loose, how much force could it have really been applying to the back tires? If the spoiler get's pushed down, it just pushes down onto the car, not flexing up and down and left to right. If you try to get a nail out it's harder to push it right out, then twist it a little bit and move it. Back ontopic. The topic has been covered, answered etc so there will probably be no more "on topic" discussion. Now it's just you defending ricer low speed spoilers. Spoilers are there to catch air moving past it, force the air over it thus causing downward force. The problem with your theory is, the force is not applied straight down. It is applied at an angle equal and opposite to the spoiler. This means if the mount is weak/loose that any significant amount of air pushing on it will rock the spoiler causing it to give, leaning back and not catching as much air. It renders it useless. I understand that you think loose spoilers can help the handling of these ricers who don't reach 100mph. You are clearly mistaken, but I welcome your next "off-topic" rebuttal.

yes i realize that the stock spoiler does not give any down force, but i will be needed some as i know other racers that require them as well and i have felt the difference. i have brand new tires for the summer and more then enough experience driving. all i have been asking is for opinions on the strength and resilence of carbon fiber, i could really care less if you think i need a spoiler or that my car isnt fast enough. please all i need is your opinions on carbon fiber. let me guess you guys all love v8s right? So let me get this straight, the tiny bit of downforce an actual spoiler might have given you is more important to you than acceleration? The weight of your box, subs, and amp HAVE to be an extra hundred pounds or so. Someone who was really worried about racing would want as little weight in the car as possible to improve acceleration and handling. You're very contradictory. If you like the LOOKS of the spoiler that's fine... fix the mount but don't keep telling us it's about racing. It's clearly not.

I'm the 911 coordinator for our county and I have a local small time car audio business and IT business.

Agreed. Get rid of the spoiler because it looks really bad and get some sound dampening material. Flex videos are very uninteresting and show how little the user knows about what it takes to create high pressure in the cabin of a vehicle. I would also recomment getting rid of two of those subs and having a better box built. That one is janky as hell and couldn't possibly have enough volume to provide a semi flat response.

In my opinion the simple answer is a snap in endcap that also uses 1 security torx (the torx screws with the nipple in the middle) This could be taken out to only use the snap for lazy people, or could be left in for not so lazy people who like their mounting screws covered by a large hunk of metal secured with an obsure screw that most people cannot turn. End caps are to clean up the looks of the install as well as secure the amp.
