Hybrid-Audio guys: What Head unit and/or processor are you using?
Cheesemind replied to johnecon2001's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
Ok, so there aren't many good options for processors eh. That sucks, was hoping not to have to buy 2 pieces to get it compatible with my head unit but if I have to, I have to. -

Is the H900 the upgrade for the H701 or is it a different company? Is it just better overall, or better technically for competitors? I'm wondering because I'm going to be going active for the first time, and wondering which processor is the most beginner friendly. I'm not competing or anything, just want a nice sounding ride =) BTW, Scott's customer service is top notch! Will be going Hybrid Audio front stage =) -
Jacob Its Been Too Long Since One Of These

Can those of us with no skills send the motor in and have you guys do it for me?
-
It really depends on the manufacturer. some manufacturers use the same motor, spiders, and everything, on the different size subs in a line (except the cone and surround) to make it easier on them. In that case, the Mms increases, Fs changes, lots of other things change. So different size subs in the same line can easily sound different. But other manufacturers tweak each size's parts so that all of the sizes perform relatively similar. But larger woofers play lower because of the increased swept volume and a generally lower Fs. thanks i understand
-
So larger woofers better if you like the low bass of rap? I was told it was all dependent on the motor and therefore size made no difference but then again I know very little about subs and acoustics. I'm currently running a single 12" Critical Mass UL12 and while the SQ is top notch I was wanting more output and was debating on whether or not to upgrade to a single 18" or add another UL12. I was going to choose based on cone area alone because I didn't think the size of the individual woofers made a difference and now I'm confused...

Hopefully we will steadily grow to get fairly good sized in a few years Hopefully the Zionist conspiracy outlined in the "Protocols of Zion" fails, and if it does I'm sure your company will do just fine. You understand the principles behind good business and will definitely thrive. It's too bad the World Bankers (the ones we owe the national debt to) want to destroy the world economy to limit the population size and create a world currency. They also want to track all money from that point using the "VeriChip", which they want to be placed into your hand, but at the very least will be placed into your mandatory national ID card )this is already on the books and will start being implemented in 2009. This is all obviously verifiable for those who actually research the truth for themselves. The conspiracy is so pervasive though that even this post will be deleted in an effort to keep people from knowing the truth. If not by Jake, someone will pressure him into it, because these conspirators are masked as our friends. As Jesus said, they are wolves in sheep's clothing. Please do yourselves a favor and look it up for yourself. You can start here: http://www.infowars.com And all the best for Sundown.

I thought this was a common misconception... You know, that 18" or 21" subs were "slower" or less accurate. So what's the deal? Is it true or what?
-
So what do you think of the sq man? Really wanting the Havoc for my sub stage but going for LOUD SOUND QUALITY
-
I've noticed a ton of people say there is no audible difference between 1100 RMS and 1500 RMS and I'm wondering how true it is. I've swapped out my JL 1000/1 for a Sundown 1000D, because my subs could be ran at 1 ohm and I wanted to save the JL in case I needed 1000 RMS @ 2-4 ohms. I did notice an audible difference after the swap in favor of the Sundown, and am trying to figure out why, as they're both rated at 1000 RMS. The Sundown was not dramatically louder but my ears could hear the difference. Happy the Memphis is performing well enough for you, they make pretty good amps.
-
They're definitely loud for their size that's for sure. The SQ is what stands out the most, at least for me.
-
Looks mean chit, you're still a cool ass dude. Glad you rushed the 2000D too > Love Sundown..

Jake kinda looks like Beavis with black hair... just sayin...
