My bro's car, when he had five Memphis 12's off of ~1800rms, in a half hex box (three facing out, two facing down, into the box) It hit so low, and it moved ALOT of air. Never got it metered, but it messed up his explorer pretty good. The hatch window kept snapping hinges, passenger lock/windows no longer funtioned from outside, driver window didnt roll down, roof made a mean milkshake, and it kinda breathed for you

Sorry it's alot of reading, but it's a little funny. I got this from an ecoustics forum. http://forum.ecoustics.com/bbs/messages/4/241502.html

It's not for quality, it was just for fun. Anyway, i traded it for a blackberry curve, and that for used laptop so i'm happy anyway.

I am modding my PSP, taking out the disk drive, and soldering 16gb more storage onboard. Where could i find some beast microspeakers to fill the empty bay? I cant find anything smaller than 1" so any help is appreciated!

thats funny as hell as in just last week a guy was tellin me tht the mtx jachammers are capable of 300dbs and i was like wtf r u smokin but he wouldnt believe a word i said and for me its prob tommy mckennies truck. I do believe that one event in the history of the earth hit 300dB, krakatoa. After ~190dB it's not classified as sound, it's a shockwave.

i Thought that the reason ported boxes moved more (h)air, is because in calculating the enclosure and all that jazz (in a comp vehicle) you build the box to make the front wave, and the back wave hit, at a certain point, at the same time. Am i right?
-
Lolz. There are people who run 4k+ rms with no problems. Its most likely that the box is too big, and it can't mechanically handle all 3000w

The human ear can only hear down to ~22hz And an octave below would be ~12.5hz Other than that, i am interested in T-lines, so i'll shut up and listen .

I was surfin youtube on friday, and i ran across a video of someones red explorer. I thought it said (12) Sundown 8's so i click, expecting a goofy looking setup with a bunch of small woofers, and holy shit, its twelve nightshade 18's in an Explorer, with (6) SAZ-3000d's. Can anyone tell me anything about this setup? I was blown away when i saw it. I was just like, DAMN! Anyone know anything?

Jake, can you spare any details? It seems scary loud from the vids. Such as ? We have alot of details. 160 @ 34 Hz is the best score so far. whats the tuning? And box volume?

Group Buy For Subwoofers / Speakers ?
SpeakerBoy replied to holley2346's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
Sounds......Wierd...... If thats true stuff, you can buy for dirt cheap, and sell for dirt cheap, and still make bills. -
Nice choice on equipment! Sounds like you have it all figured out. The most important thing i would say is: Do it right the first time, and you won't have to redo it for a long time, especially with these products. What do you have planned out for a front stage?
