Sorry for my last post, my internet was being screwey last night, and i didnt feel like re typing a paragraph on the wii.<BR><BR>I went to home depot, and bought the supplies, and got the panels cut for the box. i will be gluing/screwing/clamping. I also need to find a router, because if i can't i have to use a jigsaw, which doesnt sound too appealing. It is 1/2" mdf. External dimensions of the finished box will be 6"x9.5"x12"<BR><BR>I bought 2 feet of 2" pvc, and a thing to screw down to the box, to attach it (not using all 2ft of it, it was only $2, might as well have some spare).<BR><BR>I bought 16oz of titebond II, two more clamps (my dad had two already) i got 1" coarse thread drywall screws, and for power, i picked up a motorcycle battery at walmart. 12v, 160ca, 12ah, and its fairly small, so it fits nicely on the side of the backpack. I am also getting my kenwood 4ch back from a friend. i will run two 8ohm highs on the "a" side (ch1 and ch2 and bridge the sub on the "b" (ch3 and ch4) side. Separate gain knobs ftw. I need to find a crossover, for the sub. I was thinking, maybe i could get one to go inline with the RCA line in, but if not i could probably get away with a passive. The pvc will be an external port (for tuning purposes) I cant figure out the length i need for a given tuning. gonna download WinISD in studyhall.

You are trapped in a room. The room contains two doors. If you walk through one door, you will live. If you walk through the other, you will not. The room also contains two computers. You may ask ONE computer ONE question. One computer lies 100% of the time, the other tells the truth 100% of the time. How do you escape with your life?

http://www.mtx.com/caraudio/products/subwoofers/jackHammer24sq.cfm Maybe this one will be used more appropriately. In the pimp my ride where they installed the original jackhammer, a 22" woofer on 8500w only hit 130dB.

I'm not trying to accomplish anything. I was simply curious. Now that it has been clarified, this thread is done.

Damn i thought it was a good one Took me three days, but that was back in 8th grade.
-
It's not even that, its just the fact that people are at work. I'm not complaining, just stating a fact.
-
I know it won't work, i was wondering why.
-
Why? If those wont work, i have ~$33 for a 5 1/4" Or a 6 1/2" that will work How do i find out how much polyfill i would need for a box thats between .25 and .3cuft, i bet that a box that size would be too small by itself.

Yarrr......I miss my Speaker backpack. I think i'll pick up a tangband 5 1/4" and a powertool batt soon...... Good times.....

Home depot does tool rentals. im not sure about the rest... you could fiberglass then paint it. stain would look wierd IMO. Home depot down by the mall doesnt have a table saw. I forgot to ask about a router though. And i can check lowes down 59....and the home depot across the street, once i get some time. Are Transmission line boxes hard to build? I'm not really looking to build one now, but i am curious as to how you would calculate the box size for a 12" t-line.

I do like the Q I wouldnt mind hearing the BL, and I just bought a Sundown Z15, so I can send the FI to get re-coned. I can keep the Q its a great sub and also buy a BL. LOL Fi ftw

When is that Cadence 34" woofer supposed to come out? I think they said it was 5,000wrms?. What kind of box would that thing need?
-
I don't think you can get it changed. Especially not to a BTL; the motor is much different. Basically the only thing you would keep is the basket, if that. Not worth it in my opinion. Why don't you like the Q?
-
^^^^what he said
-
Where could i rent a tablesaw (menards, lowes, ace?) i tried home depot, but they only have a compound mitre saw. I was wondering, can you stain mdf?
-
I hope those are BTLs. And those amps probably wont put out 5200wrms (combined)
-
I listen to alot of chopped and screwed music. Any particular brand you like?

Amp not working right

Capacitor = Fail Caps are not beneficial. Get another battery. -
How much rms for what? To make sound? One watt should be sufficient. No such thing as underpowering.
