Splice into the speaker outputs.

I like that TSS's frame

Sounds like the spider may have separated from the coil.

I vote BTL, easier to upgrade in the future (getting a new amp, as opposed to getting a new amp AND a new sub)
-
BTL will be louder on the same power. Oh, and no such thing as underpowering.

i know of DBdrap and bassrace; what's bassboxin?

here is line length tLL = 0.25 x c' / fs. were c' is equal; to the speed of sound 13560 so 3390 divied by your fs of the sub. to get t-line length in inches also these guys are right you do not need a box this big most people use the easy way of doing it so it will fit they will tune it between 48-35 hertz which is 6 to 8 foot how to find were your tuned at is take the strait line down the center of the line and devide by 3390 to get the hertz were the box is going to peak at.it will drop off after this point. a 7 foot long line will play down in the 20 hz range no problem. does not mean it will be loud at 20 hertz area of the line opening is based on sd of the sub if you go larger you will lose pe in other words watts need to push it so in other words you can blow a sub going to big with the sd or over heat the motor by dampening with the sd of the sub.and making the box to small this is were it is either trial and error or buy the soft ware i suggested what i suggest you check out if designing lines is old colony books on line store they have a soft ware program for t line it like 130 bucks just google old colony book store. and yes the bass is compareable to a well built ported box so it is basicaly a waste of your time and money to build a box 3-5 times the size of a ported and get about the same output. but ya some people do it just to have fun lol'z like me lol'z Good read. I have my 6th order BP to bump now anyway, i guess a T-line is for another day.

Tuning that low for outdoors isn't functional; but indoors in a medium sized room....... -
Those 8's are badass Nice scores!

DD's can take a fair bit of abuse. -
Hey I have those same Aiwa speakers you have on your desk I use them in my bandpass.

New highs, and a separate sub channel added; I am amazed at how good it sound for being two fives under a bed. Seems to have two peaks; one around 50hz and one around 35hz Every aspect of this sounds like the final product should sound like crap, but for some reason it doesn't I'll look for the camera's usb cable tonight so i can take some pictures and maybe a video.

SpeakerBoy replied to homisydal's topic in General Fi
We need more information; What are your listening preferences? What are your max dimensions? Are you building it yourself? Answer these before we can answer yours. Nice choice on equipment....Sounds loud.... -

Using my computer as a phone
SpeakerBoy replied to Chris Todd Miller Spencer's topic in Computers / Electronics / Music / Games
I have comcast digital voice. *note* internet is NOT involved. just like you plug a rotary dial phone into the wall, i plugged my phoneline from my wall into my computer. I want to be able to make calls from my house line i already pay for. I've seen it done with comcast, just not how. Sorry if i come off like an ass, it's just frustrating due to how simple this appears to be -

How do i set that up? i'm playin with skype right now, but dont see anything like that. Edit: Haha wtf I tried the facebook connect thing, and it acted like an entirely different account here. Lol. -
I can understand that statement. It sounds WAYYY better than it looks like it should though. I was messing around when i made it the first time, never thought it would sound anywhere near this.

Can anyone give me a fairly straight forward design for a bandpass box for two 5 1/4" woofers? I like the one i have, but it is uber ghetto (Current Box) I would like to have it peak around 28-30hz for chopped and screwed music, but maintain some punchiness on higher notes. Box size isnt really an issue, the one i have currently is around 9in tall, 4ft long, and 3ft wide. I like the style of mine, the way it is laid out, chamber, port etc so anything similar would be perfect (i might use a plexi top; If i do go with the plexi, i'm spraying the insides flat black). I will build it myself, out of 3/4" mdf and some bracing. Only requirements are is that it must be at most 12in tall, INCLUDING the wood thickness. I will measure my space for exact dimensions when i get home. Already have screws and glue chillin from my last project. My puppy chewed the STEEL pins off of my clamps ( ) so they slide freely, no clamping going on there, so more of those are needed.
