I said what I did, because OP isn't at all trying to see both sides of a situation. Only his own. -

They love audio just as much as you, so they do events and shit. Personally, I'd say get over it, or switch brands. Move on with your life. If you really want something, you'll do what it takes to get it. Sure it can be frustrating, but life's not fair. Spit, or swallow. Who gives a fuck.- 51 replies

Stop trying to put jeep parts in a honda. Rebuild the psi and sell it, then use the money buy a FI. A hack job will be worse than both. Patience will net you some nice stuff.

Sounds to me like you're looking for certain frequencies to be louder but you don't know how to achieve that without adding more speakers. Have you never heard a good 2ch? You don't need to be surrounded to have enveloping sound. Listen around to some other systems to get an idea of what you're after. In a simple way, the rears fuck up the fronts by delivering the same sounds at slightly delayed times. Cancellation and interference and bullshittttttt. Keep it simple, the fewer speakers the cleaner the sound. Install them right and you'll be drooling.

thoughts on my first ported box design
SpeakerBoy replied to 1two3's topic in SPL & SQ / Fabrication
That's why I don't ask questions on here. People are plenty happy to shoot ideas down without offering anything constructive. It's never gotten me anywhere. Check out the speaker cook book. It's got good stuff in it but I think it's a little more than what you are looking for at this point in time. I read a little of it. It's pretty good. I think most of what Quentin was talking about was trying to get a perfectly flat response. You would be fine with a 6" aeroport IMO. Regardless of someone's apparent lack of knowledge in an area, people are quick to make sure that person knows that it's a dumb idea, and nothing more. Not what's wrong with it, not why, nothing. Just that OP is stupid. Makes the forum pretty irritating sometimes, especially considering that MOST of what I learn comes off this board, at least so far. -
Is there any merit to this? http://shop.mapleshadestore.com/departments.asp?dept=96

You have a blazer? much much newer than i.. but....... any info at all? I see its down.. sorry........ Oncoming drunk driver in my lane, in January swerved around him, and lost it to the ice. I had only just put my first real woofer in there, had the BTL in for three days and then the truck was totaled. Everything from the system survived, except my Alpine comp set, my front doors were too smashed to open up after rolling. The windshield and roof were so smashed in my tweeters were flattened into the dash.

Lol That wasn't a joke.Actually I have 4. One for overall. One for the in boats, one for the towers and one for the sub. Overall is all you need, but sometimes I like to change the balance for when swimming off the back or partying at the island. Just using some Blue Velvet analog pots. Sound killer. There is a proc after each volume source too... Wasn't laughing 'at' it, was just surprised. Simplicity is underrated.

Quit your job and work elsewhere man. Walmart has more audio knowledge than that guy...

Moving the battery to trunk
SpeakerBoy replied to rustydawwg's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Why remove the under hood battery? -
I wired a pa horn in the cabin, under the dash to my factory alarm that made my truck undrivably loud, ear piercing with the alarm going off, with a run from each battery so popping the hood and cutting my ground wasn't effective.

That's what's up
