Would a three way allow me to get louder while still sounding clean? I have always assumed that's the benefit of having a driver per frequency range as opposed to two drivers or a singer driver.I want SQ at lower levels, but clean clear vocals and tight midbass at high levels. I am thinking a pair of PPI 900.4s to power the front stage.

I ultimately want a high output build capable of hairtricks but still participate in an SQ comp. Maybe not first place, but you get the idea

I have never owned an SSA woofer, however in the several years since I joined SSA (I was a freshman in highschool, i'm 21 going on 22) I have yet to hear a bad review about their woofers. Have wanted an icon for about forever. In fact, was finally going to jump on one but I came across my FI for only 250 so I snagged it instead and some components.

I intend to end up with a pair of SHD's OR four tridents. I'm not going to go all out to begin with. I currently have a btl18 which will leave the truck for other stuff once I decide SHD or Tridents. Sorry for the confusion. I only want to build my front stage once.

I hate having the baffle slowly worn out from swapping woofers and such. The box I got with my btl has like four or five different sets of mounting holes. If it comes out again, it's pretty much ragged.

Fade it from left to right and see if the bass comes back.

Look, if you want a bandpass, build a bandpass. If you want to know what the experienced members think will work, then the forum is here to help you. Sounds like you're caught on novelty, so maybe you just need to see for yourself. It's happened to me before, so I get it lol. Bandpasses seemed like the shit for the longest time. But think of it like this, when you intentionally restrict airflow with the sealed side how could you be louder than an equivalent ported box with less math, effort, and practice?

Hearing some of your explanations, along with the other heavyweights on the site can be a bit daunting It's commonplace to you, while we're left to decipher an answer lol

Build the box as big at it needs to be to fit the third passive, or a fourth if you can, then add blocks of wood inside to reduce volume to what's recommended.

Is this internal volume, and does it include bracing and displacement? For example, could I order a 5 cubic foot box tuned to 28hz, after displacements? Always loved watching your builds, can't wait to see more

Glad you got it fixed Are you sticking with the smaller port? Also, polyfill doesn't work the same as it would in a sealed enclosure as in a ported box; I'm not really technically knowledgeable but there are a few threads on the board that could explain why

I reallllllly want to find an A3000Gti for when I get a Trident. Might even crumble and get a 2200.1 for the btl. Seen a few for sale on Facebook.
