I just found this. I found ssa doing some through a search engine when I was researching Fi for an install I was doing for a friend. Awesome forum probably the best that I am a member of.

I vote for 4 incriminator death penalty 12's!!! That would beat the block down.
-
Thats alot of power.. I thought the DP's were only 1500 rms. How much can they actually handle daily for spl?
-
can anyone give me a link to a data sheet on this thing? I can't find it on the ia home page.

When running a 16 volt system for my amps, do I have to get a special 16 alternator or do I just put a high output alternator on 16 volt batteries. Also do any of you guys know if the kicker 1500.1's can handle 16 volts?
-
i could go on & on & on but you get the point... dont WASTE your MONEY they Su@k@ss What about the earthquake line of amps? I have found this one for of the ph5000's for much less than msrp. What do you guys think? Again thanks for the advice. Will a massive audio 3000.1 push 2 DP's?
-
Thanks I appreciate the advice from everyone. This is probably the most informative forum I am a member of. I can't wait to get my hands on two of those. Does anyone have a link to the recommended box dimensions for the 21's? Thanks again for the quality advice.

How did you get them so early? Let me know how they do at the competitions. How much of a difference do you think there will be in the output between the 15's and the 21's? -

I have 2 kicker 2500.1s do you think that this sub could handle a 2500.1 daily? -
If I choose to invert my subwofer so that the magnet is outside of the box, shoould the box be any different than if it were mounted regularly?
-
Would it be louder with the sub inverted or traditionally mounted?

I am in the process of building a box and am thinking of using polyfill. I just wanted to know if polyfill works the same with ported enclosures or is it purely for sealed boxes only?
-
I changed my design and wound up with 3.25 cu. ft. At 32hz it calculated that I would need a round prot of at least 6.85 inches in diameter and 22" long.
-
That port calculator says that I should make my port 22 inches long. I have heard that having a port that long can cause unwanted noise. Any truth to this? Also it said that the port should be at least 6 in. in diameter. Will that aero port still work even though it isn't big enough or long enough. Also if I use a rectangular port, could I make a 90 degree turnn in the prot in stead of making it one long straight shot?
-
I have been working on designs all morning. I have reworked the design. I have 3.25 cu. ft. after wood and sub displacement is subtracted. I don't think polyfill is an issue anymore, because I seem to have plenty of airspace. However, I have NO experience building ported boxes. So I am trying to learn as much as I can, because I take pride in doing all of my installing myself. Anyway, I need ideas for a port, I no nothing about tuning so I need ideas for a port. If possible give all specs (size, length,) Box is a basic wedge design. depth1=46" depth2=28" height1=13" height2=5" slope=24.65" Thanks!
-
Yeah the 1.9 is after all displacements.
-
Well a friend of mine has one and I am looking at getting his bl12, so I am locked in to a 12".
-
Yes I am tight on space. I am going to have 1.9 net cu.ft. for one BL12.That is absolutely as big as I can go. I was just wondering because I know that 1.9 is towards the low end of that speaker's enclosure specs.
-
Can you post the link to that calculator on here I can't find the other one.
-
I have decided to definitely go with the dual 2 ohm 12" BL. Can anyone tell me how long the two 4 inch ports should be and would it be a good idea to use polyfil in the box? I have heard some guys use it to "trick" the sub into performing like it is in a larger enclosure.
-
I am going to build a box for a 12" bl or a q. My interior box volume (after subtracting speaker displacement) is 2.1 cu. ft. What kind of port and what dimensions do you guys think I should use . I haven't decided which sub I'm gonna buy yet. Also feel free to leave some feedback on the two subs (is there really a huge sq loss with the bl or is there a substantial bass level loss with the q)
-
how deep into the box should they go? I don't know why it posted that twice but also will that port design work with both the Q12 and the BL12?
