This topic is really for my new upcoming build which will be two Sundown Audio SA-12s on a Hifonics BRX 2400.1D sealed off from the trunk. The box is currently being built by Dave The Box Guy, it will have three different tunings with interchangeable ports (20Hz/28Hz/45Hz). For now, while I sit and wait, I am going to post my current set up just to show you all some of the work I have done so far. I don't have all the pictures since some things were done a little while ago such as, deadening, changing my door speakers, wiring etc. but I will eventually tear some things off and show you how I installed everything. Here it is.... Current build: Head unit: Kenwood KDC-X995 w/ iPad Mini Equalizer: Clarion EQS746 Mids/Highs: 4 Infinity Kappa 62.9I (wanted to keep stock look so they are in the stock location of the doors) Subwoofer: 1 15" Sundown Zv3 D2 3.3ft3 enclosure tuned to 33hz (Sub Up, Port to the side) Mids/Highs amp: Hifonics Zeus ZXi80.4 Subwoofer amp: Hifonics Brutus BRX 2400.1D Electrical: Stock 150A alternator, XS Power D6500, BIG 3 to come soon Deadener: Second Skin Damplifier ***The only thing that will change with the new build will be the sub stage which is listed in the first paragraph, everything will most likely stay the same... for now lol*** This isn't my actual car, but this is what it looks like completely stock on the outside.. Here are some pictures of my car after some cheap mods! Tint is %30 and hubcaps plasti-dipped! Tinting my tail lights soon! Don't have a pic before the de-badge so here is the after.. If you can tell I replaced the stock antenna with a "shorty" On to XS POWER, haven't done the BIG 3 yet but that is on the list of things to do.. Here is the stock battery under the hood. I already ran the 1/0 gauge wire through and plan on shortening the wire to the fuse soon as well. I will try and get pics of how I ran it later.. Look how small the stock battery is compared to the XS Power D6500!! Finally installed, it was a b**** to get into that small space.

Sorry if this isn't the right topic to put this into but.. On YouTube I see some demos to where the song starts regular then starts to slow down into an edited slowed down version of the song. I have audacity and know how to edit and slow and blah blah but is there an option on audacity to do this or is there another program you could recommend me, perferably free lol
-
Awesome, thanks for the help and def let me know. I already know how to work audacity so I would hate to switch to another program lol
-
Yea something like this.... It starts at about 50 seconds, the song starts to slow, I think its really cool and I edit most of my songs to mid 20s so instead of the whole song being slowed and waiting 30 seconds to hear any bass lol it would be cool to have it slow after it starts regular progressively.

Found it off Amazon. They have everything lol.

I was thinking about getting the audiopipe 3k, but a little confused on wiring my two D4 subs on the amp. Before you comment don't tell me to not get it because its a POS (I'm not asking wether I should get it or not). I am on a budget.. The amp does around 3k @ 2ohms. If you aren't familiar with the amp it has 2 channels, its basically two 1500s strapped. Can I wire my 2 D4 subs on this amp to get a 2ohm final load on the amp to receive 3k? This amp has got me so confused haha, thanks for the help.
-
Yup! .5. My subs are D4s so they are running @ 1 ohm. Its a pretty bad ass amp. Haven't had a lot of time to listen to it. Just enough time to hook it up and tune it to see if it works lol. I'll let you know tomorrow how it is.
-
Alright here are some more pictures!!! Not the best because my camera sucks but.... yea.. lol I also need to remove some black tape I had up when I sealed my trunk off.. BTW SUBS ARE FORWARD AND PORT IS ON DRIVERS SIDE With the broken SAZ 2500.. A BOX! LanzarOPTI4001D Wired @ 1ohm Installed More pics and video soon, still need a picture of the wiring in the back.
-
Thanks! It's about 5ft3 before displacement.
-
Thanks! I am not sure where he got it, I will ask him next time I see him. It moves a lot of air, my rear doors and trunk flex like crazy. lol I will have to take a video soon.
-
Close up of the wires and terminals in the box.. Some bracing.. 10" Port.. Final product.. I will take some pics of the box in my trunk soon.
-
I sold it to some dude who randomly showed up when a friend and I were switching boxes at US Audio lol. I need much more port area too, another reason I switched boxes. In the new box the subs face forward and the port is to the drivers side. Thanks, I saw your build too. Awesome work on it! I love these subs haha. My fav/best subs by far! It's def my favorite sub! The biggest and baddest 12 I have ever had lol. They are def low end monsters, it plays from like 25Hz to 35Hz pretty flat, its awesome. Thanks for looking I will have pics up soon.

Anyone try the DD-1?
grayta replied to SnapperKing's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Like it for what?Because you don't have to use your brain! And all the pretty lights. Nice one... -
It's been repaired and i bought it refurbished as well. It's changing the polarity of my subs at a certain level. A couple of my buddies and myself thought it was the previous box and loading issues. Everything is set right on the amp and I have checked the headunit and everything. I have read online it might be a signal issue. I'm going to try and switch amps and see if it's the sundown amp for sure. If it's the sundown amp I may just get it repaired and sell it and keep the lanzar. If it's something else I may just return the lanzar, we'll see
-
Nope had a friend local help me out
-
My sundown is acting up so I was looking for different amps. I just got a good deal on a lanzar opti 4001d. .5 and 1ohm stable.
-
Because I have never seen a 6th order!! Haha. Jk I just think it would be really cool to see a 6th order in a trunk. It's a good idea too for a single twelve in a trunk on his power. But that 142 was on like 600something watts clamped. It's really impressive for one 12

I have a new box in. I will get pictures soon. The box is about 5ft3 tuned to about 28hz and has a ten inch aeroport. I also just ordered a LanzarOPTI4001D, puts out about 2600 @ 1ohm and 4000 watts at .5ohm. I will be running my subs at 1 ohm until I upgrade my electrical then make get some d2 zv4s down the road and wire to .5. I am switching amps because there is something wrong with the SAZ 2500. Pictures soon

Who is going to the show this weekend? -
BTW, the rear deck is deadened in the trunk, not on top.
-
My doors flex a lot when i played music in the low 20s but the car holds up pretty well.
-
Decided to seal my trunk off again and it sounds a lot better this time. Used some thick cardboard, some gorilla tape and deadener. Here are the pics.. Putting the tape on with the port removed. Back of the box in the trunk.. Putting the rear deck back on. Everything finished up. From the back.. Terminal wiring.. Amp.. Not the prettiest install but it's def louder now.
