    build or buy subwoofer enclosure

If you're going to buy a box, these khaotik enclosures are pro it is tuned @32hz but would work perfectly with brutalbasser's advice http://store.soundsolutionsaudio.com/products/ported-dual-12-subwoofer-enclosure.html

    dual 10's or quad 8's

My explanation was VERY simple, although not technically correct. You guys can argue about math all you want but still four 8's have more cone area than two tens no matter what end of story. You guys are just math nerds.

    dual 10's or quad 8's

Depends on what 10s he buys. Wrong, so wrong. Lol basic math people! And like Sean said, using the SD is the best way to compare. who is Sean and you guys are too technical. four 8's have more cone area than two 10's. idc if theyre made out of cardboard with a 3 foot long driver.

    dual 10's or quad 8's

That is NOT how you measure cone area, not even close.Pi*R*R or for an 8 - 4*4*Pi. Of course that is WRONG too. It is just more right than what you posted. Using the Sd from the drivers is what you need to do. A big surround eats way more into an 8 than a 10. I'd expect the Sd of an 8 to be around 0.02 and the 10 a little bigger than 0.03 (both in meter squared) u been here too much for too long No, your just pissed because you are new here. I can tell your profile pic is not yours... pissed? lol. I said that because he said I'm wrong then said he's wrong too, then never gave any good information. Regardless of how I measured cone area, the 8's have more than the 10's. So you guys can attack my PROFILE PIC (not avatar) it's cool nolifers haha. And obviously the picture is not mine, and I never said it was, but you should be able to tell that from the business cards all in the weather strip.

    8 X 4 = 32 10 x 2 = 20 8" wins the cone area fight. If you can stretch your budget a little more, I have seen 2 sundown 8" do a 146 on music.

    Help me get hair tricks

2 15's walled on 2 T1000 should get decent hair movement, but the install will determine that. What could I do to the install to get the most out of it? Every vehicle is different with acoustics and such. What works for someone may not work for you. For example: the port behind the driver or centered could make a giant difference.

    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

I was helping a guy with his install yesterday and it was by far one of the worst/unsafe I have ever seen. His ground in the back was held down by a jumper cable clamp and he wonders why every 2 months or so his ground is burnt black and he has to cut it off for fresh wire. He is running 3 amps off of his mono amps power supply, like a daisy chain. Speaker wire being held onto speakers by twisting it around the speaker terminal. (tongue twister I know) I knew it was gonna be bad when I got in the truck and he was using a steak knife as an allen wrench. I am not one to judge from your install as we have all been there.... I tried to give friendly simple advice and it was met with opposition. Some of the argument I heard was funny. "I'm just doing this for fun", "I don't have money to do it right" (dude just bought 24's, i said spend $5 on some ring terminals for your ground. and my favorite: "at least I'm not using tin foil as electrical tape" I try to be super friendly about car audio advice in person because I know that nobody wants to hear they have done something wrong, when they think everything is fine. I get so frustrated with the arguing that I get tempted to offer a complete re-install for free/fun. But I know that he will do something wrong and I do not want to be blamed. I found it easy to be quiet when I saw the conversation was going nowhere because I was so mystified as to how everything had not caught on fire, yet.
  14. Thank you very much
  15. I have these mystery 15" subwoofers, I need some help finding out who makes them and what they're rated. The way they are installed atm in this guys tahoe would make it a real pain to take them out and check the back, so hopefully this is the easiest solution. The dust caps say five star champion series, Anytime I try to search the internets for them I get 5star ratings on subs and pioneer champion series.

  17. I'm sure you guys have seen this 6 dcon 15" walled doing 147.5 on music but if you haven't, then you now have proof the dcon will get the job done. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P4bTIw6eXrA

If I end up paying $900 for getting 1 wisdom tooth pulled I will put a crescendo sticker on it and cry myself to sleep all summer.

    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

The doc's are saying I might not need mine pulled at all; which is great for me and my wallet. However, this whole teething thing sucks. My wisdom teeth are fully grown in, but last week i cracked one of them in half eating chocolate covered peanuts at the movies. My dentist has referred me to an oral surgeon for extraction. I am nervous about the cost.....
  21. Using the factory headunit ground will work fine, unless your car is super old
