Can you let me know if my 12'' Q arrived to you? UPS says it got there the 27th, I emailed you on the 30th to verify that is the case. [email protected] Nick Cowan 12'' Q with 2 broken tinsel leads

Thats strange I thought that I had put a note in there with my name and return address in there, and let the UPS guy know that it had to be in the package...UPS store ftl I guess. But thanks for getting back to me Nick, I appreciate it.

So yesterday I finally got around to making a new box for my 12'' Fi Q D2. The box came out great, but when I went to put the Q in I noticed one of the tinsel leads was broken at the end where it connects to the terminal. I'm not sure how or when it happened. The gain on my amp (US amps XT4000D, 1500rms @ 1 ohm) is set about half way up and the bass boost is off. My question is what can I do about this? repair it? send it back for repair? Any help is appreciated, thanks

Well the solder isn't holding up and I think it would just be easier to send to the sub back in for repair. Anything else I should include before I send it off?

I'm too lazy to type another thread so I'm just going to post links Pics and vids here: http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=293273

Big in terms on gross volume, but most of it is port so net volume is around 2.2^3

So I tried to solder it and so far so good. Thanks Scott!

Well i received my 12 inch q in the mail about 3 weeks ago, was packaged with much care and got here in a timely manner considering the holidays, thanks fi. The sub is in a 2.7@32hz box, sub and port back. The Q is being pushed by a US Amps XT4000d(1500rms@1 ohm), so it's getting all the power it needs. The Q gets fairly loud and sounds great with different types of music, but I'm just not getting the lows that i was expecting after reading all the reviews on it. Songs like soul survivor and the low note in hypnotize just aren't being played with authority. I know that there is supposed to be a break-in time with this sub, but the suspension has loosened up since the first day it saw power. The only thing I can think of is that the enclosure just doesn't suit this driver well. I want to try a crx style box since it's in an Acura RSX, which is a hatch. I also want to make the box a little smaller, maybe 2.2 net @ 30-32 hz. Can someone one here help me design it?

Its frequencies between 30-37hz that are lacking
-
Both the sub and port are facing the rear of the car. I thought the ssf was the problem at first too but now it's set to 20hz which is low enough.
-
I definitely won't be making a larger box, the next one is going to be smaller.
-
Because I'm greedy and want as much output as I can get to go with those lower frequencies. I'm also anxious to hear a crx style enclosure in my car.

I can tell you that, that box is a quality build. Bjfish makes a great product
