No doubt I am impressed with what I saw but I am looking for a little more info than that. I have watched plenty of videos but I was looking for some testimonies through experience

LOL. i was trying to remember what thread i remembered is name from....now i do.

i have finally landed on fi as my sub. now i want (2) 18's and i am working with about 10-12cubes in my trunk. they will be powered with a zx2500 and ample electrical. i want to try a new sub so this is what my infatuation with 18's is. i dont think that the bl's would satify me but have also heard that powering 2 btl's with only 2700 watts would be a waste. i want to get the most bass possible from my setup with what i have and want. what would be the best suited sub for me considering that i want 18's?

there is someone selling a btl on ebay right now. how do you know what sub you are in fact getting options etc? does the sub have it name indicated anywhere on the sub? and now that i think about it he is on the forum. wonder why he isnt selling it here

what size is your box on the nightshades? how is the box sitting in your trunk? is down into the trunk or resting on the side compartments?

lol i know right. i've been bsing for a minute with pics but when i did attempt to put them up before they didnt post where i wanted them to and i was new to the site so i couldn't find them. but i just ordered all new stuff for this car. i am just stuck now on the amp (which i already have but just don't know if i wanna keep it) and my subs. here i was all set to spend $938 on 2 btl's and now i am second guessing myself. i took a look at the dc lvl 5's and they look so good! i just think that they are too expensive and now this pushes me back into the 1 18 range again or.......2 15's sigh! but this is what i am planning on running in my car now and have bought: 2 7 mid- bass dayton Rs180's 2 cdt 4" mid-range es-04's 2 cdt "2 tweeters KX3 3 way Kicker Crossover 1 zx650.4 for mids 1 zx100.2 for tweets Sub? Amp? (zx2500.1 has been in my room for the past 8 months unused!) Box? Kinetik 1800 (will be getting a 2400 and 200 amp alt also 2 weeks after finalizing subs and amp) so this has been a long way coming for me and i am excited. for the first time i can actually say that i am going to have a real functioning system! but Big John i hear you and bests believe as SOON as i get this stuff in and finalized i will be posting hella pics! and i totally understand as to what you have explained to me numerous times about how i was choking those kickers. i wanna do this right this time and choose the right sub with the space i have. i think my problem has been a lack of audio experience and me still with the ignorant thinking that more is better. i am getting past that point and i am ready to take some sound advice and focus on a box that is efficient with the correct sub. i guess to say all this i am saying that i dont think that i have ever heard an efficient and proper system so i "dont believe chit stinks till i smell it." as my father used to tell me

chit them nughtshades are expensive as hell. I am going to look at some other options. I want to with 18's so I will have to do some serious looking so I don't have ti get advice on how to make my subs louder

My max trunk size without those little shelves is about 44*28*25. Something like that. But it is the. Same as the 93 that I had

How do you use hz and know how to use tuning? How do you know what will be the loudest frequency or which one creates the loudest bass? quen

man. a 22 inch btl sounds really good. this is making me want to wait longer to before purchasing my sub. well i know that we are supposed to wait but can i ask one question.....will this sub be able to fit in the trunk of a car? somewhere between 8-10 cubes?

yeah u may be right. i just wish that i could hear these subs in action. all i have is u-tube and reviwes to make my decision. (1) 18 is sounding real good to me. i just have never heard a single 18 b4. i have always had (2) 15's Kicker, or (4) kicker 15's. i know 1 18 wont compare to 4 15's but i just want to be in the ballpark of that type of bass. i need a truck lol

Why did you get rid of your btl's John? What is the size of the box that you have on the nightshades?

It is for the 2004 the 93 is gone. And I hear you with the 2 15's but I want to try something new with 18's but wt the same time not set myself up for dispopintment. Dp are out of the question. I want to go with fi. Well let me look at them before I throw them to wolves. And I am not in the kood for selling that amp or buying another. Would be too kich of a hassle and I haven't even powered it in the 8 months I have owned it. So John you think I wouldn't accomplish anywhere close to street beating with one 18? What would it sound like? And what if I put it in an 8 cube box?

Basically what factors do you use to know what tuning would make your sub the loudest. I was asking based off me always reading about members boasting of their low tuned boxes and the deepness of their bass. If I tuned at 20hz what kind of response should I expect? 30hz and so on. Better explained?
