Help with double din
Lotaimpalass posted a topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I am looking for a replacement of my eclipse double din. I think I was getting some dc back feeding through my preouts and now they are dead. The unit is old enough not to have it fixed. So like the topic says I am having a tuff time picking out a Double din Hu. I would like three sets of outputs navigation is not a must and a nice looking screen I would like something of good quality that is my main concern. Mainstream is not a requierment, nice quality and a good value are. thanks for the help Matt -
yea me either. Actualy I am starting a Stereolithography buisness out in hallstead so I drive by your neck of the woods several times a week. Hopefully we can get to gether and you can help me build up my 63 Impala SS convertible when I get the cash. I am currently trying to sale my 63 SS ht to do this. Later good luck with your buisness. Matt

The unit they used to mesure it was a SA 3055 Audio Control

yea it was sitting at the dash. The system was built so I could keep all of the structuers of the car stock so I didn't want to port the back deck. The box was made to set ontop of the rear deck. The box was constructed with .75 MDF on the bottom and about 1" thick chopped glass for the rest of it. I have deadend from the back deck to the fire wall and all of the doors skin side and interior. I wish I could go bigger, but I have to take the back part of the seat just to slide it in to place. Yea I have been told that the old RF are ok I am running a 400.4 for the front and rear staging and the 800a2 for subs. The rear staging is done with a old set of MB quarts 6.5 for the rear stage and junk boston 6.5 up front. Thanks for the quick reply

Well I had my first spl reading ever and was fairly happy. My system consists of 4 RE8's in a sealed enclosure that is way to small approximately 1.9 cubic ft total with an OLD RF 800.2. This set up is in my 95 impala ss. Well for my first system I was happy with my 131.8. I have a pic but I am a retard when it comes to posting pics. I was kind of wondering if I was pretty much on par for this setup or am I off a little.

Yea I have a 95 DGGM SS with 60 K on it and a 95 DCM with 35K and two 63 SS one hard top and one vert. No I already ran My wire so I don't need a pic Thanks though I live in KS and am thinking of going to one or the other since one of the stops is Topeka I might go to that one at least.

Hey DGGM 95 are rarer.JK Where did you run that power cord from on the drivers side, because I had on heck of a time finding a place and when I did I ran it on pass. right below the wire bundle on that side? Got to LOVE the impala will you be making it to ISSCA Nationals 08?

I am very intereasted in these subs I got in on the original re8 purchase back when they were like 44.00 or so and would love to try something new. From the sounds of it the product will have a very high quality like the rest of the products you guys produce. So any idea when they will be ready for purchase? and a price point.
