So I've got two 4 ohm DualVoiceCoil subs here. What are my wiring options? can I do 2 ohms? 1 ohm? diagrams would be ETERNALLY helpful! Thank you in advance, phrito

It's ugly. I got the story out of the kid.. My little brother just bought rockband and a pair of drumsticks came with it.. you can guess the rest. How do I go about ordering another dustcap? I don't see one on the retail page, should I just email an employee?

So second gear went out on my car yesterday, I had to drive about 30 miles up to the hood to the tranny shop and wait for a ride. Since the tranny shop was in the hood, I decided it would be a good idea to take the system out of the car; getting jacked would suck. I arrive back home later and see a skateboard resting on my subwoofer box. As I remove the skateboard I notice the T shaped crack right on the logo. I don't know if I did it, I don't know if the younger skateboarder in my family did it, but its damaged. I think I need one of those infamous "recones," but I'm not entirely sure. Anyone have any input on this? Stay tuned for the image below.

I did a search on 'bolt method' but came up with nothing. Can you elaborate on what the 'bolt method' is? Thanks!

for those do-it-yourself boxes, where do you get your wiring terminals and carpet? links are helpful, thanks in advance!

http://www.subwoofertools.com/forum/ported...mp;Fs=&CE=0 The calculator is at the bottom of the page, just fill in your stats. UPDATE: I bought the MDF, wheeled out the tablesaw and made all my cuts. DRY FIT: Gonna wait for the sub and the wiring terminal to come before I make any additional cuts just to be on the safe side.

Thanks for the input! Couple questions: Is the 'dado' process all tablesaw work? What's the benefit of the curved ports? better airflow, less port noise? 45's of MDF will have a simliar effect, correct?

All i did was use the calculator from the link on my first post, and then drew from that guide on sketchup. is this design practical/plausible with the Q15?

Good to go? More stats: http://www.subwoofertools.com/forum/ported...mp;Fs=&CE=0 Anything else to change? I'm gonna buy the MDF this weekend.

For some reason I'm inclined to think I did this wrong. Double check if at all possible.. on the calculator found here, [http://www.reaudio.com/speaker_box/LPort_Box_Calc.html], the red numbers from top to bottom are 35 30 17 17 1 3.69 10.15 Maybe I don't understand what some of these numbers really are, I was kind of hit-and-missing with that calc.. I greatly appreciate the help guys.

So I'm fixin to build a box to house an 18. I don't, however, know how to calculate my port size or to tune it. My maximum external dimensions are 35"W 30"D 17"H. I want the sub to face the ceiling of my vehicle. I don't know if thats gonna effect the port location or not. If someone could kindly walk me through the process of designing and sizing the port for my box, I'd be eternally greatful and totally post a picture log of the build process. Thanks in advance.
