Hey guys i'm playing with kerf port design. But i'm clueless on how big the kerf needs be, compared to the size of the port. The port i'm using is 2.5 x 37.5. Should the kerf be the the same size as the port width or half the port width? Here is the design so everyone can see how i'm tring to get the kerf.

this is for a brup. I run my 3k @ 2ohms daily and wire it at .5 for comp. I have burp it @ .25 A few dozen times when I had my nightshades in. I have the electrical to back up my setup. I seen the 1500's clamped @ 3800. I was doing 2 1500's @ .5 would be alot easier on my equiment then to keep bruping the 3k @ .25. I just don't what setup would pull more current.

Ok I'm running 4 12" subs on a 3k @ .5 but i'm planning to change to 4 SA-12 d2's. I'm wondering if I get more power out of 2 1500's strap @ 1 ohm then I would out of the 3k @ .25?

So the amp lines goes as follows: Sae - entry level Sax- Street/comp Saz- comp And the sub line go as follws right E line goes with Sae Sa line goes with Sax Z line goes with Saz or Sax NS line goes with Saz Is this right? Are you working on any componet set? There are a bunch of us that would really like to to see some soon. Also how soon is the full E-line and the SA-15 going to hit? I want to get the E & SA lines in the shop and just do the Z and NS as speical order items until things pick up with the Sundown stuff around here.(That won't take long... lol)

You still using the 16 volt setup? I have problem with rise. I just can't seem to keep it down. Last show I had my 3kd wired @ .25 and my rise was 3 ohms. I only made 2611 watts at 147.3 . I think when i get the rise down and start making full power I'll hit that 150 mark. Just need to keep tring new boxes. I hope I'll do better in the class when I increase my cone area and add over power. I'll strap 2 2500's 1 ohm so each amp will see .5 . Hope that will keep me close to you & cookie.

Any updates!!!! And what no-wall class will you be in. You know I run 2501-5000. Right now its 15 Ns on a SD 3kd but by finals i'm looking to do 4 SA-12's on 2-2500's. Hoping to join the 150 club.

Sounds like you are clipping it out. Try backing off the gain alittle.

So the E-8 wouldn't make a very good midbass ?

Jacob please don't take this wrong. But I was wondering why a E8.v2 when you already have the SA-8? Are these going to be mainly midbass drivers? They look alittle deep for that. How do they compare to the SA-8. Is the E- Line going to be the entry Level sub or are the SA the entry level? I plan to add some SA-8 to my line up as a Midbass or will the E-8 be a better chose.

Hey Jacob whats the chances of getting you the make me a 8" sundown midrange ? I would love to have all sundown speaker in the car. I know there won't be any tweeter any time soon but you already make 8's so I was think it wouldn't be to hard for you to make them into midranges (50-5000 hz) maybe another coil in with the OG setup for the E8.

WOW....that loud off 2 Saz-1500. And my sorry ass is trying to get 150 with a saz-3k. I really need to get my stuff together. GREAT JOB waiting to see 160
