i just wish the tinsel leads were integrated into the spyders.looks like theyd slap or be too short on high excursion.

Thanks Mark for the response on ca.com about my delimah of sub desicions.I got the maw in a rather large box.4cuftplus port of 64sq in x20 long so roughfly 5.5cuft.total. it sounds great and gets pretty loud and low.I like it a lot but always want more.I love the enclosure and am just looking to upgrade sub for more output and wiring flexibility/get to 1ohm.opinions and experience with the ixl 15 seems very very limited.Its going in an s-10 with blowthru.i had origianally bought 2 maws but only used 1 sold the other.I really like the looks of this ixl 15.whats your take on it.like i said,box may be alittle bigger than you recommend,but the maw loves it.i like the sq just want louder.ixl just seems logical.giving the maw 800rms no probs,ixl will see 1200rms at 1ohm.thanks,anybody have any spl#s with the ixl series?

wow!sub sounds great,clean,and shows promise to be loud!after it breaks in.how long should the sub be played at reasonable levels before i can expect full performance?Im pleasantly surprised at how little the sub moves while playing.it has good control,considering how soft it is out of the box.so what about 4 or 5 hours of playtime should be good for break in.

built new box today..waiting for it to dry now.total volume is 3.4 cubes gross.port is 2.25x14x27long so net volume for sub is 2.85 plus the port which is .5 cubes.hows that sound on paper?and whats it tuned to?around 30 i think.

jerimiah whats your box volume and port size and tuned to in the pic you posted on the other thread? and hows it sound/

ya so thats only like 2.5 for the sub and .5 for the port area. hmmm

thanks Mark,will do the 3 cuft per driver.surly i can"squeeze"6 cubes in the bed of my truck.lol will decide on tuning as install goes along.

i also went out to the truck to help the driver carry them.he looked aggravated and it looked like he tossed one of the boxes pretty hard.if i can figure out how to get pics on here i'll post 1 of the damaged box.But no harm done to sub.It/they do look great.thanks for the post about putting 1200 on 1.
