alright i thought about this and figured it would be alot cheaper and alot more fun to do it this way. I figured everyone that is on team sundown that is going to sbn instead of getting a hotel room we should try to find a big ass vacation home. i have an air mattress and stuff so i dont mind sleeping on the floor and what not. it would also be alot cheaper i think for everyone. im sure we could find a big home we could cram lots of people in and im sure we have enough vehicles that seat enough people that we could caravan people to and from the show. we could leave the wives back at the house and let them all do their own thing since im sure none of them want to be up early and go in like we do. plus most would like hang out at the beach during the day or at least i know mine would. i already suggested this to a few people but i was just curious on getting other peoples input. i think its a HUGE way to save on cost since the hotels there are so steep price wise and it will be better for the team after the show we can hold our own party at the crib a keg or 2 let me know what you guys think.

dont forget ill have multiple layer and the port will be acting as a brace for the middle part and all along the outside of the box ill either be using metal L brackets or 2x1's. havent decided yet depends on how many i get from jacob in the mail

have you tried running power and ground directly from your battery to your cd player and tap the turn on wire to your ignition wire? -

another pioneer? -
all box dependent but the 2 at sundown that are in a prefab sealed box off a 2000d plays 5hz all day long without bottoming out or any kind of failure. if that gives you an idea.

headunit end of story. -
i would have to say yes since they are like 600rms subs and the 1200's put out a bit more than rated power. but obviously the subs are under rated as well but i think it would be a good match.

lol and dont call at certain times of the day and week when you know they are not there as well.

well if you ever seen my 59.9 bassrace van before im still using the same enclosure but modifying a little bit and upgrading to 16v

ok since i cant cut outside at my place to work on nicks car ive been goin over to my team leaders house from work and working on his install of all the stuff he has bought off me over the past few months. i won a pair of square brutus 12s and a brutus 1200w amp at the maxxonics show and i sold him the package and told him i would do his install for him. Equipment HU- Pioneer 7800mp Subs - Hifonics Brutus 12s Sub Amp - Hifionics Brutus 1200w amp Mids/Highs - Memphis M class 6.5" coaxials (2 pair) Mids/Highs Amp - JL Audio 300/4 RCA's/Power Wire - Knukonceptz Extra Battery - Kinetik HC2400 been working on it for 4 nights now about 3 hours a night from like 3am till 6am. this box could NOT have been any bigger than it is and still be able to fit it in the car. had to take off the back door haha. We had Home Depot do all the cuts for us so we didnt have to bother doing it ourselves haha. ok pics. keep in mind i havent taken pictures of everything but its just some that i have. AHHHH HEAT!!!!! start of the box OOOO and the money shot

welp almost done just need to fill some screw holes in and coat the inside of the port with bedliner and it will be complete. i will take some vids of it when we get it complete. threw something in the port today and wow i was impressed by how much air it does move.
-
nah its 23/32" plywood. its cheaper than mdf.
-
so i did some port mods and stuff and it sounds GREAT but not very impressed by the number its putting up. it managed to only pull a 140.4 at 40hz. i put the meter in the box and it did a 156 at 40hz and a 158.1 at 69hz. didnt take any pics but we foamed around the box and some minor spots in the back deck. o well its a good thing this is just a daily driver so at least it sounds good. it does a 139+ from 38hz to 48hz so it sounds good on about everything. but the subs are barely moving
-
got quite a bit done today so i took some pics. im still messing with the port to get best output but right now it sounds great. im gonna bring my meter to his house tomorrow night and get to trying some different things out. right now i LOVE the way it sounds for having cheaper subs and only a 1200w amp. no idea number wise what its hitting but my goal is to hopefully hit between a 44-46 on music FYI i HATE! using this JL Audio amp because they way the connections and stuff is faced.

yah there was no other way to make an 8.8 cube box fit into that car since the trunk opening on that car is UBER small here is what the box will end up looking like
