but would'nt that change the internal space?

If I did that I would have to cut out the port too or the baffle would stick out a little.

Hi I am getting close to getting all the pieces to start my build and now it is down to the door speakers. It will be in a explorer and ran off a Kicker zx650.4 I have decided to get 2 pairs of MLI-65s for the front and rear. Does anyone know some tweats that could match them good? Price is the main concern but am willing to spend an extra dollar if it's worth it. Also would I need a crossover and could someone point me to a few worth the price. Thanks for any input! Car will/has Pioneer avh4000d Roll of raamat 2 12" SSDs 08 kickerzx.2500.1

those look pretty good, should I get 2 pairs, 1 pair for the front and a pair for the back? And would I need a 2nd pair of crossovers? or can it all be ran off 1 pair? Thanks again

yea, so if i designed a slot port box and then like mirror imaged it together it should keep the same tuning?

Hi I am starting my build very shortly and I have a question on making the sub box. I have made L slot port boxes before but for my 2 12" Fi SSDs I want to make the port in the middle. So the question I have is can I make it by just calculating for 1 of the subs and just build it together? Space is not an issue. Thanks ahead for all the input

aero ports are the circular tube openings, slot port is a port going up and down on the box

Hi, I am just about to start my build in my explorer and I have a few questions. I will be running Phoenix gold rsd 6.5 components in the front doors, Soundstream pcs.6.5 3 ways in the back. I have a kicker zx650.4 now the question is what is the difference between active/passive? and do I have the option to do the better sounding one? Also the subwoofer box I will be building I want to put the port inbetween the 2 subs but I don't know how to calculate it that way. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

The ZX series of amps from KIcker are great in my oppinion. Those RE subs could work the rms is a little lower than the amps output but everything should work out. Get those that are the Dual 4ohms and wire them in parallel for a 2ohm load.

sounds like lil boosie, i'll have my little brother listen to it he may know.

kicker subs in my experience are meant more for higher hz and are not that great on the lows compared the the ssd's. I actually have 2 12" ssd's for sale and my friend has a kicker zx1000.1 forsale. 1 of the ssds has minor cosmetic damages and i am willing to let go cheaper. I should be starting a forsale thread soon for my old setup. If your intrested send me a pm.

Another awesome box like always
