more clarity at hi volume, i guess id say the midrange to Hi's, i dont have any subs, i plan on taking one of the systems out of my other cars soon as i have the time, 15hr work days suck. if that didnt help maybe you can be more specific for me to better answer that.

i was thinking about the 980, i have a friend who has one at his shop he was pushing me to get, he speaks highly of it

Yes i have a buddy of mine who owns a shop, he swears by JL but he know how i like my music, and i heard them both in store on a simple head unit, mine will be on a pioneer avic z2 and alpine mrx-f35. so hearing them in there i couldnt get a good feel for them like i wanted. wanted to see some 2nd opinions. same for 6x9s, also im unsure of what hz to have them at for that alpine amp, and the eq on the radio.

Was wondering if anyone knows which 6.5s would sound better. by better i mean the most Clarity at High & Loud volumes, without alot of distortion, the Alpine Type R's or the JL audio C2s
